Horse Show Philosophy
The purpose of the Teton County Horse Show is to provide a venue for all equine enthusiasts to come and participate in horse show events. This venue will provide a fun, safe, learning environment that supports healthy competition and sportsmanship for all ages of citizens.

Entry Fees
◆ $7 per class (unless otherwise noted) when entered and paid for online ◆ $10 per class (unless otherwise noted) when entered by mail or in-person ◆ Entry fees for Western Dressage are $15 per class when entered online and $18 per class when entered by mail or in-person ◆ Team Sorting and Team Branding are jackpots and have event-specific entry fees ◆ Jackpot Trail Class is $35 per person ◆ No refunds on entry fees
HORSE SHOW POLICIES & RULES
The Teton County Fair Horse Show is run in accordance with Horse Show Committee Rules, which are based on AQHA rules. Please be familiar with AQHA rules prior to competition. It is your responsibility as a competitor to read and understand the rules. Rulebooks can be downloaded here: aqha.com/membership/resources/rulebook
Contestant age determined as of January 1, 2022.
◆ All horses must be sound and in showable condition. ◆ The Horse Show Committee reserves the right to cancel or combine any class to best serve the interest of the show; the Horse Show Committee reserves the right to split classes into smaller groups if safety becomes an issue. ◆ Four (4) or more contestants must compete in a class before a buckle is awarded. ◆ There will only be three (3) calls per class; late entry into a class will not be permitted. ◆ The SAME horse may NOT be used again by the same person or by a different person in the same type of class (excluding Team Branding and Team Sorting). ◆ Horses must be shown by the person under whose name the horse is entered on the entry form or the entry will be disqualified. ◆ Contestants must have animals under control at all times and must conduct themselves in a manner to ensure the safety of others. Otherwise, the contestant may be excused or disqualified. ◆ Unauthorized coaching from the sidelines may result in disqualification per the judge’s discretion. ◆ Any contestant who uses disrespectful or vulgar language, or abuses a judge, official, committee member, or horse in any way will be disqualified. ◆ All contestants are asked to refrain from overindulgence in alcohol while competing. ◆ If a contestant is not wearing the correct number, he/she may be disqualified; contestants must keep their issued number for all Horse Show dates and display it when competing. ◆ Contestants entering the wrong gate will be disqualified. ◆ In all western classes, horses will be shown in a western saddle and bridle. ◆ Horses over the age of five (5) must be ridden onehanded with a curb bit; no gags or hackamores allowed.
Horses five (5) and under may be ridden two-handed with a bosal or snaffle bit. ◆ Any infractions of the rules may lead to disqualification. ◆ At the discretion of any judge or Horse Show
Committee member, any person observed abusing any animal will be excused and disqualified from the show.
