What is covered in my plan? You have two plans and several options to choose from to best suit your speciďŹ c needs. The sample contract will outline your choices. What if my system or appliance can’t be repaired? If First American determines the covered system or appliance can’t be repaired, we’ll replace it, regardless of age, make or model.** What is a Service Call Fee? This is the fee you pay to the service technician who comes to your home when a covered item fails.*** **Please see your contract for speciďŹ c coverage and limitations. In some instances, Homeowner and First American may agree to payment of cash in lieu of repair or replacement. Payment will be made based on First American’s negotiated rates with its suppliers, which may be less than retail. ***The Service Call Fee is paid directly to the technician upon arrival to your home. How to Use Your Plan Call us anytime a covered item fails Once we receive your service request and verify coverage, we’ll have a local service technician call you to arrange a convenient day and time to go to your home and diagnose the problem. At the time of the appointment, you’ll pay the technician the Service Call Fee that applies to your plan.
