Thesis | Center for Inter-religious Contemplation year
2016
location
San Cristobal Hill, Santiago, Regiรณn Metropolitana, Chile
Configuration of a sensorial journey: The symbolic space; Significant and evocative, is born from experience and the act of walking. On the one hand, experience is understood as a circumstance lived by a person and the accumulation of sensorial information that generates a surprise effect on the person. The act of walking symbolizes exploration and, specifically the pilgrimage, represents a state of consciousness that forms a narrative Religion is a social phenomenon, linked to culture, therefore, to the Human Being. Religion brought with it the clash of cultures, which has generated two problems. First the lack of knowledge of certain religions and second, the knowledge of them but the lack of communication between different religions. There are governmental and private initiatives to generate inter-religious dialogue, however, this dialogue is carried out between representatives or leaders of religious groups and not between the groups themselves. Ten sensorial spaces, born from the break of a single body, are proposed. These create a journey, a pilgrimage, that forms a Center for Inter-religious Contemplation that ends, or begins, in a singular volume, a space for personal reflection.
Location
Site The project seeks to link two programs, Plaza AntilĂŠn and the Chagual Botanical Garden, and is planned on the terrain itself. First, in east-west direction the boundaries of the project are established throughout the existing infrastructure (Garden + Plaza), then in the north-south direction according to the main and existing paths.

The value of cultural and religious diversity is encouraged, cultural activity is renewed within the metropolitan park, abandoned sites are reactivated within the hill and it is possible to understand both the hill and the city from the different strategic points along the way.
Manquehue Norte / Los Militares Residential Building + Masterplan year
2015
location
Avenida Manquehue Norte, Las Condes, Santiago, Chile
The Dispersed City - The Unsustainable City Santiago continues to expand but its center is not densified, this is understood in the scheme of Alison and Peter Smithson that shows that with a greater centrality comes a greater densification, however this decreases with the distance. On the other hand we can understand housing in two ways. The first there is the House, understood as the individual dimension while a building represents the collective dimension. Both dimensions affect the way of living. Bearing in mind that “The address is the point at which one always returns, We must consider what generates living in an apartment or a house. A house represents sensory emotion. Influenced by the spontaneous perception of amplitude, its levels of luminosity, its flexibility, and autonomy, always present is the rooting to the ground. The building, on the other hand, is a symbol of urban life and modernity, it gives the possibility of opening up to public space and configure a fabric and/or urban complex, however, this is a shared place that can finally bring with it externalities.

Masterplan + Civic Center Quilicura year
2014
location
Quilicura, Santiago, RegiĂłn Metropolitana, Chile
Quilicura is located in the northeast of the capital, Santiago. It limits to the north with the commune of Lampa, to the south with Renca, towards the west with Pudahuel and to the east with Huechuraba and ConchalĂ. Quilicura is a land with a little appreciable slope, consisting of flax and clay; the marshy terrain that does not allow construction in height. Its surface reaches 56.5 km2 and its population density is of 4111 inhabitants / km2. For every 9 houses there is an industry. The problem: Quilicura is a dormitory town resulting from its different uses (housing and industry) that cause the lack of communication between its inhabitants. Solution: Seek to create programmatic and public edges that articulate the constructive fragments generating a urban suture that connects the new area to the older part of the city.

Green areas
Existing circulations and accessibility to the block.
Existing train lane creates a strong limit within the two sections of the plot.
Addition of two shaded areas in the new park.
Addition of a commercial area to reactivate the plot, a new municipal building, and a new train station.
Sutures between the municipal park and plaza above the train line which maintains it street level.
HumaNesting year
2013
location
Hiriya, Park Ariel Sharon, Tel Aviv, Israel
The HumaNesting project focuses on the relationship between the habitat and the user. The research began by conducting a dérive through Hiriya based on the path of different birds. Inspired by the construction process of the Weaver Bird’s nest, all materials used were taken from the surrounding areas of the park, without any 3rd-party instruments such as nails or concrete, and weaved into a “nest” which provides up to 25 square meters of shade at mid-day during summer. HumaNesting is open to the public and allows visitors to enjoy the view while being protected from the sun. In collaboration with: Guy Elrich and Shamir Zalkin
Kitan Office Building & Facade year
2017
location
Hadar Yosef, Tel Aviv, Israel
Requested to design during a 2-day period a facade to wrap a future office building in the Kitan Complex in Hadar Yosef. The concept is based on a dynamic geometry that responds to the sun movement, providing shade in a glass box in order to decrease the use of mechanical cooling in the interior. The design blends with the existing project morphology throughout the creation of an exterior pergola on the roof-top garden which extends the use of louvers and pillars into the other plots. The structure does not appear uniform when seen from different angles and directions. This is due to the rhythm and movement which create a game of contrasts of light and shadow. The facade was approved by the head architect and developers. Its’ cost and construction are now being taken into consideration. The interior layout is currently in its final stages.
