Individuals, families and seniors often need temporary help to make ends meet. SASS provides advice, counseling, food, medicine, referrals and temporary support. people on their feet. Often SASS helps people at a time of crisis –– a job loss, illness, accident or family emergency. The agency cooperates with other agencies and refers people to them if that would be helpful. SASS also has been administering a prescription drug program that provides medicines not covered by other prescription programs, and the program has identified an area of ever-increasing need. SASS welcomes volunteers, and donations of non-perishable foods, paper products, and health and beauty aids.
