ter able to concentrate on parenting, employment, education and community involvement. Each Habitat construction site provides a setting for people to work side by side in partnership with future homeowners. Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley depends on volunteer labor and tax-deductible donations of cash, building materials, professional services and property. Habitat homeowners qualify for an interest-free mortgage from Habitat, make a modest down payment, and put in at least 300 hours per adult household member of “sweat equity.” With the help of thousands of volunteers, Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley has built more than 80 homes in Washtenaw County since 1990.
