Created by William Elson, Perpetual Motion Food was seen as a breakthrough ‘for fuel for that human machine that could indefinitely delay muscular and nervous fatigue, repairing it as it is spent”. A food that not only delays the tiredness in the body, but also repair the body? Sounds too good to be true!
However, at the recent race of Ten-ThousandMile Race, one of the bikers died. The race, also known as the Perpetual Motion Food Race, was a competition between a biTesting for Perpetual Motion Food Prior cycle team and Towards the Race an express train. Although all of the mem-
bers had taken the food, one of the biker, Jewey Jacobs, had overworked himself to death. The biker behind Jewey Jacobs, Ted Oxborrow, stated his experience, “Neither Corporal Gilbey nor, behind him, Sammy White nor George Webb were able to turn around in their masks and harnesses to see what had got into Jewey Jacobs, but I could bend over sufficiently to catch a glimpse of his right leg; his foot was still thrust into the leather toe-clip and was still moving regularly up and down, but the ankle seemed to have become numb and the ankle-play had ceased. Moreover, and perhaps this is too much of a technicality , I had not taken sufficient notice of a peculiar odor, which I attributed to his black jersey shorts where, like
the rest of us, he satisfied both his needs into some fuller’s earth. But a sudden idea made me shudder, and I looked again at the heavy, “”...and I breathed in the cadaverous odor of an incomprehensibly rapid decomposition”. -Ted Oxborrow
marble ankle which was within a yard of my leg, and linked to it, and I breathed in the cadaverous odor of an incomprehensibly rapid decomposition”. Although it is only one death so far, this is nothing to take lightly. Dr. Bathybius stated that Elson told him about the Perpetual Motion Food, “It has a strychnine (pg 2)

Obituaries Andre Marcueil Andre Marcueil was so ordinary he was extraordinary. Unfortunately, he died from a machine, ironically, one that inspires love. As a scientist, he developed a strong belief in pataphysics. He has a reckless, but courageous character, which was shown through him by using a bike in a 10,000 mile race. Surprisingly but remarkably, he was
able to win the race against a locomotive. He was strong willed and was determined with persistence in his numerous experiments. He always challenged himself with different ideas, in relation to a common saying, “if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you”, he was able to develop and build onto his intelligence over the course
of his scientific occupation. His love for Ellen will always be remembered. He was a unique and young man that will always be remembered as our supermale.

was a different story. Her phases “ICE CREAM?!” and “This girl” will always be remembered. *

Man vs Technology Times have definitely changed over the span of many years but has technology helped us or harmed us? In the past, forms of written communication were executed through handwritten letters, however, text messaging on cell phones have made people more attached to their phones than ever before. People can head safely to their destinations with the help of a GPS instead of manually locating themselves on a geographic map. Instead of heading to the library and actually searching through books for research, people can use the Internet to surf the web for a plethora of information. Due to the invention of different ear
pieces, many people end up having the ability to talk on the phone while they drive, which creates a major distraction and can lead to accidents. Cell phones have definitely made communication a lot more convenient instead of having to only call at places with an actual telephone line. Different computer programs have led to more efficiency as compared to using old fashioned typewriters. Even though technology has helped us advanced and become more efficient, we’ve all become too attached to these materialistic developments. Andre Marcueil died from a chair that inspired love. Although he was a great scientist,
even he himself has been harmed by technology. Even though he was able to successfully win a 10,000 mile race with a bike while surpassing a locomotive, in the end, he was still harmed by what he worked with the most, technology. Despite how we often take technology for granted for its enhancements and efficiency, has technology really been made for the better? Has technology helped or harmed society?

drug from pubic hands and are currently investigating into this. In correlation to this is the E. Coli outbreak in Chipotle and Starbucks. Although neither franchise are banned, people should be way of what prod-
ucts they are using and should understand the effects as well. Jewey Jacobs did not know the side effects and, unfortunately, passed away. RIP Jewey Jacobs.
