FELIPE FLORES BELTRANENA
A self-taught, Guatemalan born, designer, that graduated with an Advertising Bachelors from Universidad de Palermo, in Buenos Aires. Best described as being able to merge a compulsion for creative concepts and sell-ability, all through out different disciplines that involves fashion. Two-times exposer in both editions of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Guatemala; and a six-month starring roll on live TV reporting on the fashion world and its big events in one of Guatemala’s most important networks.
DESIGN
SPRING SUMMER 2016 The midnight sunset collection was the first individual runway show I produced for Zette as their creative director, even after existing 3 years before. The collection is pure inspiration made wearable. It draws from the color, the passion and happiness of the Guatemalan territories. Conceived as soft, fluid and feminine, it accentuates the undisputable elegance of classic patterns cut in the most luxurious Italian silks. The collection is based on a versatile jet-set lifestyle, presenting pieces in a PrĂŞt-a-porter collection that easily goes from the yacht to the cocktail party.

FALL SUMMER 2016 For the second collection, Winter Solstice, the brand took a re-focus looking for avant-garde textiles that combined silk with wool, cotton and polyester. The risk pays off as the collection is selected to showcase 10 looks on the second edition of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Guatemala. Colorful prints and comfortable shapes came together to forge an iconic-curated selection of garments that symbolize today’s woman: cheerful, authentic and strong.
STYLING
Styling has been the natural course of work. It perfectly combines a recognizable and exquisite taste with an ability to fit into any publication or editorial. Having worked with all major magazines in Guatemala and some of its biggest fashion houses has been fascinating and educational.
