THE POWER OF WORDS "Handle them carefully, for words have more power than atom bombs." -Pearl Strachan Hurd
Words are what we use daily to express ourselves. We use them to communicate whether it is to order a meal at a restaurant or at the college interview. Words have always been the easiest way. No matter the language or culture words are used in every sense including bad purposes.
Michelle Diaz
Depending on the environment and situations words need a level of formality which if misread can cause a domino effect leading to a catastrophe or change. People often use formal language to seem more knowledgeable and to gain credibility which leads to trust. Since history power figures have used words to persuade their way into power and gain the trust of the public. For example, we have politicians who use the innocence and naivety of people to their advantage.Mostly they use the knowledge of their situation and try to pĂšt themselves in their shoes. They use complicated words that sound promising to the people but in reality, it's just a way to cover their lies which are motivated by ambition and thirst for money. This is shown in the novel Animal Farm. An allegorical novel by George Orwell, published in England on August 17, 1945. This story expresses all the dirty ways people used to take to reach power during the Russian revolution by using the metaphor of a farm. Him by using these metaphors expresses the power and effect of the right set of words on hopeful people.
First of all, we can see how he represented capitalism throughout the humans who took advantage of the animals. Later on, we can see how the animals which represented the working class, were inspired by the words of the pigs to start a revolution in their favor. Sadly, when they managed to reach power both pigs who represented the political sides became the leaders with the excuse of only looking for the best interest of everybody. One of the opposing sides represented by the pig snowball was chased and forced out of the farm by dogs who represented the military. This happened due to the lies and words Napoleon had been using to manipulate and trick the animals to believe he was the best choice when truly he was just looking out for himself.
This not only shows how the hopeful animals were manipulated into a dictatorship but opens the reader’s eyes to the reality of nowadays. Words manage to trick people into a whole new perspective either for good or bad. As an example, we have Joan of Arc who even though was able to lead France into several victories and saved millions of lives, was killed due to the discrediting words of the catholic church.
In conclusion, Words are the most powerful weapon humans have. They can change someone's point of view, morality, religion, opinion, and many more. Even Though we use them daily depending on the environment we always need to be careful because we can easily miss reading, and like John Keating once said “No matter what - 0 3 anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world."
Consequences of a Naïve Working Class Throughout its history, the working class and the world has been characterized by its inequality. Denigrating the most vulnerable social sectors. This select group, the owners of the world , dominate the economy, society, and even the very future of the poorest, its workers. Well, the system itself has always been based on the needs and preferences of the

expressed themselves , they could escape out of poverty. Of course this is based on the perception that the book has on behalf of pigs in which they implied that they have their own way of thinking and are capable of reading and writing.
Even with this superiority of pigs, I think that if the animals would have expressed at the precise moment, then the destruction of the culture and basically the farm (Of themselves) could be avoided in a huge manner.
Clover did not agree with the last two words but still did not question anything as he felt inferior to Napoleon. This means that although the animals did not agree with the majority of the decisions made, they did not have the courage to express their opinions and emotions towards authority.
This makes a huge juxtaposition and balancing with what I had said before with the liberty of expression of the Naïve Working Class. There are a lot of examples in human history that if persons with the same ideals and desires move forward, they can change the basic principles and constitution of a nation. I think that is what people need to move forward, and finally made that psychology, introspectively, pensievely and thoughtfully advancement, which has been required to keep away dangerous mindsets in the mid 21st century. And this can be related to Animal’s mindset, in which they (unless the pigs) are the “Naïve class” personification.
In conclusion, it can be said that Orwell highlights throughout the novel the dangers and disadvantages that naive societies entail, as can be seen at the end of the novel a disastrous ending where the community of animals pays the maximum price thanks to its weakness knowledge. Animal Farm shows how the unwillingness to question the authorities condemns all animals to suffer the oppression of those in power.Governments need to take in consideration people's opinions. When this is finally accomplished, future democratic, parliamentary and egalitarian constructed governments can be created.
Another clear example of abuse in the Naïve class is regarding changes of the commandments. When Napoleon took power, the majority of principles and rules of the farm were changed, meaning and inferring two things: First, that he didn’t care about the opinion of the rest of the animals and second that everything he said should be done due to his knowledge level. A clear example of this is on page 36 when the 4th commandment was changed to "No animal shall sleep on a bed" to "No animal shall sleep on a bed WITH SHEETS".
It can be said that this leaves us a lesson and this is that in order to get out of any difficult situation, you must have knowledge and the courage to speak up when something is not right, and not repeat to yourself that someone will always be right when that is hurting you and others.

THE EXPLOITATION OF ANIMALS BY HUMANS As the book Animal Farm by George Orwell remarks in multiple ways, humans exploit and oppress animals. It's not new that animals have suffered
since
the
beginning
of
times
mistreatment, abuse and all kinds of wrong treatments that sometimes can even cause their death. Firstly, like it was stated before, it is important for starting to make the analogy with the literary novel “Animal Farm”, compare it to realcases examples of exploitation of animals. Let’s take as a reference our city, Barranquilla. This city has been with a lot of cases related to the violation of Animals Rights. One of the many samples was the video circulated in Social Media 2 months before, of a horse dying in an horrible, abdominale, disgusting and ghastly manner because of the excess of weight he had to charge. This was only a video, but right now, there are a lot of these cases, which are not a matter of interest for the government. Even the Atlantico Government didn’t speak regarding this topic. In consequence, a lot of inferences can be made. First, that the government doesn't pay attention to this topic, or that they directly don’t have a sub-division used for these cases.
Additionally, this example can be compared to the novel “Animal Farm”. Napoleon, the dictator of the farm, made not corruption acts, but against the rules the Old Major established in the Commandments. He changed the sixth commandment of “No animal shall kill another of his species” to "No animal shall kill any other animal without cause." This is a huge example of Exploitation of Animals. Paradoxically, Napoleon is destroying the species and ideals he has fought a lot time himself. Which means that it is not just an example of Exploitation of animals, it’s demolition, wrecking and levelling personification in fiction characters like Napoleon, inspired in 20th century communist ideals.
Cristian Gette
It is not rare o a “new topic” for anyone that in many parts of the world, mostly in developed countries, animals are used as “lab rats” in order to experiment with them and in most cases, end their lives. This situation could be counted as exploitation by humans since this affects the nature of the animal and as it was said before, almost every time ends with a dead body. These sad situations can be categorized as “normal” because, since a lot of time ago and in a lot of parts of the world, these living beings are used for research processes, and the worst part… legally. Nevertheless, just as there are a lot of parts that apply to this situation, there are a lot of people and organizations that are against this killing and try to make everyone notice and understand what happens.
Exactly as that is what George Orwell tries to do through his novel Animal Farm. Using the oppression that animals felt caused by humans, makes the reader put in the shoes of the animals and feel empathy for them. Besides, the author allows animals to be able to talk and “express their nonconformity” through the novel towards humans .This makes us, the reader, get to know both sides of the story but more of the animal side since it is from their perspective that all the novel trama starts. Additionally, Orwell implies in the text that it is not only the direct actions from a human to an animal that could be considered “exploitation” but also daily human actions that believe it or not, affect you.
This case could be even related to the exploitation of human workers. They are oppressed, abuse, hurt, physically and psychologically, just as animals. In my opinion, that was exactly what the animal farm’s author wanted to point out. There are more similarities between a human and an animal than we all think, but what happens to animals and their way of exploitation is devastated which is why most of the time they don't survive or end in a non-adaptable body-way four their environment. Now thinking, Orwell points out on multiple occasions the hate that animals have toward humans since they have known how to live by the shadow of them since almost always. That is why you start to analyze both points of views and start to understand that Exploitation of Animals by Humans is a big, serious and real deal.
“Humanity's true moral test, its fundamental test…consists of its attitude towards those who are at its mercy: animals.”― Milan Kundera
Through the novel animal farm it is clearly stated the existence of exploitation of animals by humans and it is shown how serious this topic is. In fact, it could be said that it is BECAUSE of that, that all animals decided to change their lives and revolutionize. No animal should be harmed and every animal deserves a happy life just as animal farm teach.
THE SOCIETAL TENDENCY TOWARD CLASS STRATIFICATION Since the human race has memory, they’ve always had the social tendency towards class stratification. We’ve always had examples such as in the 1917’s during the Russian Revolution, in ancient Egypt, and still nowadays with the working class and the oligarchy. Obviously, the ones that are in power with their economic influences dominate in great degree the working class and all its compounds. In every aspect of a society, unless is not comunist, there will always be one sector that is going to be completely vulnerable to the actions of the burgesy, and take the worst part, it is real that in capitalist countries, the working class always is the one with more population, but also the one with less benefits. In our society, we have seen through different decades and countries the class stratification, in Germany with Adolf Hitler and again in the Soviet Union with Vladimir Lenin. All these dictatorships have in common one thing, we can see a similarity in both of these dictatorships and is the Societal Tendency Toward Class Stratification. This happens all around the world, where people unite against a common enemy in this case hunger, injustice, and others, then their leader gets the power and “leads” the country. This type of totalitarian governments, will slowly begin to transform into a dictatorship as in all this case by imposing rules, and the reason why they united in the first place wouldn’t matter anymore because the dictator got the power. And from this society classifies into dictators and supporters, it will become something that is being forced or restricted by the authorities.
Through the past years we have seen in our society the difference between democracy and dictatorship in different constitutions implementations, that for understanding them in a more effective, effectual and successful manners, are going to be compared with the literary novel written by George Orwell “Animal Farm. Now, it's time to make some comparisions about this type of class stratification in animal farms, and how it can be contrasted with real life examples. In the first place, during all the novel, had some type of respect for Napoleon. This can be reflected in some phrases the animals talked referring to the mandator of the farm, like Boxer: “Napoleon is always right.” This means that the animals unconsciously see Napoleon as their leader, despite the bad behavior of the pig as Mandator. As seen before, an analogy can be made with the Ideals during the 20th century, full of communist expression that means a simple thing: If you agree with a communist system, you are in agreement with the sharing of variables, but also of respecting unconsciously to a person. Likely, it can be inferred that 20th century ideals can be connected with class stratification in “Animal Farm''.
Likely, another example of class satisfaction and in certain manner discrimination in the novel “Animal Farm, is regarding the character that marked a before and afdter in the democratic rules of the farm. I’m talking about Old Major, the most intelligent pig in Great Britain. This character rejected totalitarian rules, but an action he did demonstrated that nobody is freed from sins. In the speech he did at the beginning of the story, he went up an upper stair from the rest of the animals. This means that he observed himself as the most sharp, quick-witted, astute and intuitive animal in the farm.
The majority of people that wanted to be mandatory or presidents, wanting to be upside down everybody during their speeches. You can have as reference Adolf Hitler, Stalin, etc. And they did that for two reasons: First, so every person could listen to them, and the most important, significant and reasonable aspect: The feeling of power. So it can be manifested that even the least person we think can do arrogant and disgusting actions to feel superior to the others.
Well, this action is not bad at all. But demonstrated in a certain way an arrogant action from Old Major. This can be compared to different situations during the mid 20th century.

The main component It is not common to hear that humans are advancing, and with them also science and technology. But, if you think about it ¿How does humans advance so fast?¿ Is it because of their intelligence or because they are using one component that makes everything a lot easier? Humans are using animals for everything they do. They don’t see the harm that they are creating not only to animals but also to the cycle of life. There are two points of view. The first one is the people that think animals should be used for the good of humans. And they have an argument, that is when biologists or scientists state that they need to test things on animals and then interfere with that product on humans; because if they don’t do that humans could suffer and attend to the consequences. In contrast, there are the people that are the protectionist of animals, and they state that animals should not be facing these processes not only for medical reasons but also in zoos, parks, in the making of clothes, on food, and the most important that people don’t let an animal be themselves Years ago humans started the invention of clothes. With that they used sheep fur to create shirts and many more clothes. In the industries animals are sacrificed by force and their lives are ruined just for the good of humans.
In the novel Animal farm, Chapter 1, pg 2, it is stated "Our lives are miserable, laborious, and short. We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength... The life of an animal is misery and slavery: that is the plain truth.” We can see that in that book the life of an animal is described by their point of view. With that I can conclude that animals can see that we are making damage to them and that they are only used for human living.
Maria Jose Sanchez
Another topic that is very controversial is the fact that humans RESEÑAS don’t let animals be themselves. Humans need to know that they were created with different personalities as them. The word to describe this is humanizing animals. An example are dogs. They are the “best friend of humans” but humans sometimes want them to be perfect and with no imperfections that they forget to treat them right. They throw them to the street and abandon them or treat the animal. It could be any animal, not only dogs, but bad makes them suffer. On the book animal farm in the first chapter "And even the miserable lives we lead are not allowed to reach their natural span. But no animal escapes the cruel knife in the end. You young porkers who are sitting in front of me, every one of you will scream your lives out at the block within a year. To that horror we all must come−cows, pigs, hens, sheep, everyone. Even the horses and the dogs have no better fate. You, Boxer, the very day that those great muscles of yours lose their power, Jones will sell you to the knacker, who will cut your throat and boil you down for the foxhounds. As for the dogs, when they grow old and toothless, Jones ties a brick round their necks and drowns them in the nearest pond.” With this we can analyze that animals have to live with cruelty and with the thought that they are going to be taken by humans someday.
For humans animals are just a part of the environment. But, what they don’t is that people use animals in all the things they do. For example, in breakfast you probably had something that is made with animals. What you put on, like clothes, shoes, bags, the 49% of it has an animal involved in it. The harm that animals are receiving in the zoo, in the making and testing of medicine. Humans aren’t paying too much attention to the damage that they are doing to the environment when using and harming animals to benefit them. Scientists nowadays have created a lot of useful tools for many problems that the world has. But, they don’t pay that much attention to animals.
Zoos and parks collect animals outside their native habitat, because even in the best circumstances it is impossible to exactly imitate this place, which is where each animal belongs. Therefore, animals are prevented from performing most of the behaviors that are innate and vital to them, such as running, flying, climbing or being accompanied by other companions of the species. Zoos only teach the public that it is acceptable to interfere with and keep animals in captivity, despite their boredom, overcrowding, loneliness, and deprivation in the most elementary natural ways of their kind. This is not good at all, as there is no reason to keep intelligent and social animals in cages for our short-lived distraction and entertainment. Furthermore, animals do not belong to people, they are as independent as each one of us. Habitat loss and other wildlife hazards are not avoided by confining animals in conditions that deprive them of everything that is natural and important to them. An example related to our current situation is whales. In aquariums, they are locked in a pool that does not allow them to make most of their natural movements. Putting ourselves in their shoes, these aquarium whales have spent their whole lives feeling like we felt for 6 months in quarantine that we could not leave our homes. It is no secret to anyone that all that time we were in quarantine wreaked havoc on the lives of each one of us. Beyond knowing that after a certain period of time of living in specific circumstances a being gets used to it, these are not living conditions for an animal the size of an Orca whale for example. This is why, already knowing how these marine beings feel, we must think a little about them and understand that beyond a visually beautiful attraction, there is the life of an animal. And also to think that we as humans would not like to be kept in a small place with little food simply for the pleasure of other beings.
I think biology and science could be created by the use of CRISPR, something to replace animals, and in that way they don’t need to suffer. On the other hand, there are people that think that animals are helping a lot in the environment with the creating and testing of medicines that could interrupt any disease. This is true but, I consider animals don’t need to suffer for the good of humans. That is why my title is “The main component” because animals are an element of our life, and we need to take care of them. I propose that humans take a concise decision on the exploitation of animals and with that the cycle of life will continue. All the days some humans eat animals. First of all that is making the cycle of life reduce and also like in the book animal far is stated, man is the only creature that consumes without creating their own product. In the book animal farm, chapter 1 it is stated “He does not give milk, he does not lay eggs, he is too weak to pull the plow, he cannot run fast enough to catch rabbits.
Yet he is lord of all the animals. He sets them to work, he gives back to them the bare minimum that will prevent them from starving, and the rest he keeps for himself. Our labor tills the soil, our dung fertilizes it, and yet there is not one of us that owns more than his bare skin. You cows that I see before me, how many thousands of gallons of milk have you given during this last year? And what has happened to that milk which should have been breeding up sturdy calves? Every drop of it has gone down the throats of our enemies. And you hens, how many eggs have you laid in this last year, and how many of those eggs ever hatch into chickens?” I can conclude that Animals are feeling pressed by humans. We are wrong when thinking that animals have no emotions. On the book animal far it is stated that " Why then do we continue in this miserable condition? Because nearly the whole of the produce of our labor is stolen from us by human beings. There, comrades, is the answer to all our problems. It is summed up in a single word−Man. Man is the only real enemy we have. Remove Man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished forever.'' Animal farm are talking about how their lives are being exploited by humans. In conclusion, humans are day by day harming animals for their benefit. Humans aren’t paying too much attention to the damage that they are doing to the environment when using and harming animals to benefit them. I consider that because the science is so advanced that people could create something to use instead of animal production and in that way animals would not be harmed.

corruption is one of the main themes.
In the novel Animal Farm, the revolution starts being driven by sound principles and unified vision and then slowly its pigs start taking more and more power. And basically the main filling of all the characters in the novel is corrupt and corrupt only for more power and more economic power. Also in the French revolution, corruption is reflected because this was caused by the manipulation and lies of the government to manipulate the citizens. This was only for the benefit of them and the highest class, and the lower class was the one that paid all of that because they work a lot of hours for a bad pay. Apart from this, the Russian revolution was basically caused by arguments and unconformity between the government and the citizens. This was basically because of the differences in the working class. People worked more than the hours they could and were paid like misery, and all of this benefits the higher class because they are the ones that command all of this work. Power and control on the novel Animal Farm is the most important issue in this book. For example, on Orwell he start exploring the political power, Mr jones owns the farm and the animals, he uses his men and whips to keep them in control and basically stai in power. This strategy of Mr Jones is for getting more and more power as time passes and also Orwell explores the political aspect to have more control on the political aspect. In conclusion, as shown above we can conclude that corruption is one of the most important and main themes on Animal Farm and in the world right now. All of these conflicts are basically for more power on all the aspects, and these theme nowadays are also one of the most conflicts that exist in all the countries around the world.
