Welcome to the MLS/WELS Basketball Invitational!
We hope you enjoy your stay with us. We are happy to have you as our guests and wish you all the very best. Since 1910, MLS has served as a Wisconsin Synod prep school. Our purpose is to train students for the public ministry of the gospel.
This tournament is first and foremost an educational experience for those participating, but also an opportunity for them to learn more about our school and about the privilege of serving in the public ministry some day. Feel free to visit with any of our professors or students to find out more about our school.
Finally, as the players, coaches and referees do their best to make sure the contests are well-played, let’s do our part as spectators and fans to show our appreciation for all that hard work through good sportsmanship. Remember that you represent Christ in your words and actions. Let’s let his perfect example be our guide in all we say and do.

The special purpose of Michigan Lutheran Seminary is to prepare high school students for the public ministry of the gospel, encouraging them to enroll in the WELS College of Ministry, Martin Luther College.
