26 students receive Retailers scholarships

MRA’s annual scholarship competition awarded 26 college students for the 2021-22 academic year. The awards are funded by the Michigan Retailers Foundation and contributions from MRA members and other donors. Award amounts range from $1,000 - $1,500 per recipient.

New 2021-22 awards include: • The W. Bruce and Joyce M. Rogers Legacy Scholarship, established by long-time retail advocate, W. Bruce Rogers; and • The Bill Golden Legacy Scholarship, established by Bill Golden, co-president of Golden Shoes in

Traverse City.

To date, the program has awarded $615,250 to 601 recipients since 1999. Scholarship recipients were chosen by a third-party administrator - International Scholarship and Tuition Services.
