MARS-AVRIL 2014
EDITO EDITORIAL
Together with the diplomatic missions of countries members of OIF represented in Malyasia, the Alliance française de Kuala Lumpur will celebrate the French Language Week from the 15th to the 23rd of March. We will then, once again, offer you the possibility to catch a glimpse of the incredible cultural diversity of the “French speaking world” which, through the International Organisation of la Francophonie, gathers no less than 77 member states and governments. It represents a territory that spans 5 continents, has 890 million men and women, including 220 millions French speakers. Just like it happened in our 18 previous editions we will, above all, bring you entertaining and friendly events such as a French singing contest or French-Senegalese movie screening. You have probably noticed some changes in our library lately. There is more to come because we have just appointed Amandine as our new librarian. Amandine is both a qualified librarian and an experienced teacher. She will definitely help you find books and activities adapted to your taste and your French language skills. So don’t hesitate to push the door of our library whether you are fluent at French or just an absolute beginner! Jean-Pierre Dumont Directeur de l’Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur
