Todays trends is all about social networking, so why not use it to your advantage? It’s free marketing, brings traffic to your site, you get more sales and it’s quick and simple.

1. Advertise your Facebook everywhere you go! Create like boxes on your website and other pages. This will be the first thing someone sees when they view your page. This will direct them to your social media, where they can share to a friend, who shares with their friend and so on. Before you know it, you could have potential clients. That means business for you!

2. Update your Page Frequently

Creating a Social Media site is great! But where do you go from there? Keeping your fans reading about you will keep them talking. Add photos, videos, and text post. Giving your readers more engaging information will give you more views and likes. This will get your business where it needs to be, to the public and to your website. Try to post at least once a day, make your viewers expect your posting. Give them something to look forward to.

3. Always respond to your fans

When someone writes on your timeline, respond back. This can spark a conversation, which can give others a opportunity to join. When doing so, people are more than likely to click like on your page and that gives you a chance to spread the word about what you offer with your company. 3

4. Understand your Fans

Look at feedback and see what people respond to most. Don’t always post things for self-promotion. Do a wide array of things, informative tips, videos, and other related post to the nature of your content. Lets say you own a vet office. Offer some tips on animal care, best food for pets, or any other news you may find related to your business. Include lots of photos. People are very visual and love seeing pictures. This will direct them to like your page.

5. Incorporate a Cause or Promotion

Incorporate a cause on your page. If people see that you’re taking a stride in the right direction they will want to join you! As in the example above, if people see you’re posting about saving animals, and you join a cause, they will be encouraged to like your page because they might believe the same thing as you, and you’re supporting a cause. The same as promotion. Encourage your fans to like your page and receive 25% of their next purchase. Everyone loves to feel as if their saving money, and getting something. This will increase your page likes and bring you more traffic to your site. Remember if one thing doesn’t work, don’t get discouraged! Shake it off, and try at another approach.

6. Have a contest People love to be competitive. Have a contest and the winner gets something free. It could be a question they have to answer, or the first person to like the post wins, just be creative. Once they receive your product they are more than likely to buy and like your page.

8. Autograph other people’s walls

Tag your fans! When replying to a comment they make on your page use the @ symbol and then their name so it grabs their attention. This will also let everyone know that you are aware that they commented.

9. When is the best time to post? Later on in the day gets more likes and shares. Likes are at their highest level around 8pm est. while shares highest is around 6pm est. The reason is because most people are off work.

13. Make a Video Make a welcome video to let all your fans know about you, your business, and what you offer. Be creative and interesting. This makes your page that much more personal. Try to keep it a little under 2:30 min. to keep their interest, but enough time to get what information you need them to know.
