temporary road closures, new year’s eve The annual fireworks display will again form part of New Year’s Eve celebrations in Tuncurry/Forster. For the safety of residents and visitors to the area temporary road closures will be in place. Streets to be closed to traffic between 8pm and 9.30pm on Sunday 31 December include: •
Memorial Drive in Forster, from Si Senorita to the turnaround bay
•
Coral Avenue and the foreshore section of Palm Street in Tuncurry
•
the internal access road, and parking bays in John Wright Park, Tuncurry
See over for maps highlighting the sections to be closed. Please note that barriers manned by traffic controllers will be in place at closure points. Vehicle access will be permitted only for residents within the closure zones. Fireworks will be launched from a barge located in the lake to the south of the bridge. Memorial Drive, Forster
From Si Senorita restaurant (Head Street end) to the turnaround bay
Si Senorita end will be a hard closure; turnaround bay will be manned to allow resident cars through
