Spring into our libraries for holiday fun

The weather might be warming up, but things have never been cooler for kids across the MidCoast with our Spring holiday program. Designed to entertain kids of all ages, the sessions are free but numbers are limited and some activities may have specific requirements. Head online for full details and to reserve your place. Spotlighting for frogs

Cattai Wetlands

Join in the fun of a night-time guided tour of Cattai Wetlands to identify the different species of frogs living in the area. Enjoy the evening frog chorus, and keep a special eye out for the endangered green and golden bell frog.

When: 7pm Saturday 23 October

Where: Cattai Wetlands Spring Hill Road Coopernook

Cost: Free, but registrations are essential This activity is part of BioBlitz 2023 which aims to count the plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms living in Cattai Wetlands. The results will be used to help plan management actions for the future.

Who doesn’t love a good rock pool - and with 190km of coastline, the MidCoast has plenty to offer. Our rock pools are a great place to keep cool in the warmer weather, while exploring the colourful creatures that live in this marine environment.

From The Tanks at Forster, to the Crystal Pools at Hallidays Point, our team of Barrington Coast explorers has curated a list of some of the best rock pools for you to discoverscan the QR code for details.
