INTRODUCTION
Midland University With Purpose Campaign In 2016, Midland University began a journey to pursue growth with purpose. The past five years we engaged friends, alumni and community at Midland, increased sustainability support through the annual fund and planned giving, raised funds for key capital and programmatic areas and shared the vision for Midland University’s future. In this time of growth and innovation it was essential that we acted with purpose. The priorities of our students, alumni and community came first and were addressed meaningfully. The With Purpose campaign was the culmination of Midland’s intentional hopes and goals for the future. Since we began this initiative five years ago, Midland University committed and raised $50 million to invest back into the university. We are thrilled to share in this report how these funds are enriching our student experience, community and legacy. We are thankful to our campaign leadership committee for their advice and advocacy for the With Purpose campaign, and we are humbled by the thousands of people who have raised millions of dollars to advance Midland. Investing in Students From day one of undergraduate to graduate studies and beyond, Midland is dedicated to providing a well-rounded, supportive environment for all students. The With Purpose campaign helped us pursue our commitment to students and provided them the best education opportunities possible. Here were some of the With Purpose campaign’s biggest wins:
“ An ordinary farm boy from Dodge, I have been able to achieve success I could only dream about if not for Midland. Looking back, I know the scholarship aid I received did not grow on trees. It was made possible by someone with a forward-thinking vision about how an ordinary kid could change their life through education. I want other future students to have their opportunity to achieve their dreams, and that is why I share part of my success each year and pay it forward as a Midland alum.”
