What’s NEW in Climbing

Skillz Board Climbing Training and Education Products ($100-175)

Skillz Board is a portable, modular plywood device that allows you to teach and/or practice a number of roped-climbing techniques, from anchor building and cleaning, to rappel methods, rescue techniques and big-wall tricks like hauling and aiding. You can set it up outside, using a tree/post, or inside your house, off a pull-up bar or a door, and it's been tested to safely hold the body weight of two heavy people bouncing on it. And you can clip your phone to it and watch an instructional video while you practice.

Black Diamond Aspect Pro ($199.95)

The Aspect Pro is built for missions to the Hulk, big days in the Valley, and high alpine peaks. Engineered to perform on slabs and vertical terrain, the Aspect Pro has a 3D molded heel, a stiff midsole, and a slightly downturned forefoot. Extra coverage on the toe box provides added durability for crack climbing. A mid-height design provides protection and coverage for ankles in offwidths and chimneys. Finally, the Ecco DriTan™ leather upper is made with a lesswater intensive tanning process and the engineered mesh tongue adds breathability.

Blue Ice Questa Adjustable Harness

It is a multipurpose harness dedicated to confirmed and committed climbers. The sleek, slim design with laminated waist belt offers complete freedom of movement with a minimal weight. Its hotforged speed buckle adjustment system allows rapid adaptation depending on your anatomy or the chosen activity. Four ice clipper loops allow multiple ice screw racking options and make this harness compatible for the most challenging ice lines.

CAMP USA Ball Nutz ($49.95)

For the slim and grim. Invented in 1987 by Steve Byrne and originally brought to market as Lowe Balls, these have become the secret weapon of many aid and trad climbers.
