TIFFANY MURPHY
INTERIOR
Tiffany Murphy is an aspiring interior designer that was raised in Frisco, Texas. Her love for interior design came from many weekends spent in model homes and antiques stores with her parents, as well as, simulation video games that let her imagination run wild. After graduating from Front Range Community College, she is hoping to positively change the way people interact with their surroundings by creating the best possible design time and time again. While each client will be different, she hopes to deeply understand each person’s style and intent within their spaces.
DESIGNER
Tiffany will be graduating from Front Range Community College (FRCC) with an Associates of Applied Science in Interior Design as well as a Certificate in Kitchen and Bath and a Certificate in Interior Design, Drafting, and Communication. This portfolio is a culmination of work while attending the interior design program at FRCC from the Spring of 2016 to the Spring of 2017. Classes such as Space Planning, Kitchen and Bath 1, Advanced Kitchen and Bath, Interior Design ll, Interior Design lll, and Sustainable Design all contribute to the conceptual projects found in this portfolio.

Henry and Claire Alder purchased a single story condominum on the North
Shore of Chattanooga, TN. Their kitchen reflects their personal style choices; traditional-scandanavian-modern with elegant and industrial touches. While taking design standards into consideration, the project reflected the wants and needs that the Alder’s requested. Rich blue hues resonate throughout the space to create a scrumtiously harmonious design. Traditional styled furniture beautifully hand crafted wainscotting creates a luxurious and inviting home.

This project began in the Spring of 2016 during my first space planning class. I used Chief Architect to easily layout the floorplan, furniture, and fixtures. Once the project was finished, I was able to render a few images from the floor plan and then bring them into photoshop for the final touches.

Nurse Station a medical office that inspires open communication. In order to do so, the
office was designed to mimic The Disney Effect: to allow employees to move through the building without always being in client’s sight. The floor plan was paired with calm feeling materials that were used to create a soothing atmosphere. This would enable clients to feel as if they were not in a hospital.

suites were designed to be large enough for patients to feel comfortable and to accomodate meetings with the doctor. The office was designed to see a small number of people per day, thus the floorplan accomodated two large patient suites.
THE SOCIAL STATION CO-WORKING SPACE
COLLABOR ATION The Social Station was designed as a hub for business owners who want to rent a space to work in a collaborative environment. During the day, The Social Station operates as a typical business; conferences, individual work, and collaboration, are some of the few activities seen during the day. When night falls, the space transforms into a
retail spot for business’ to show off and sell the work they’ve created. The space was designed with a large flexible workspace that will allow for the transformation. Conference rooms, private touch down spaces, private heads down spaces, a workshop, ample storage, a kitchen, and a large flexible workspace will allow business’ to flourish.
Revit, Chief Archiect, and Photoshop were used in the production of this project.

At 80 square feet, this tiny kitchen needed to pack a punch. The client requested a washer/dryer, cooktop, range, sink, refrigerator, herb garden, and seating for three.

I began this project in the Fall of 2016 in Advanced Kitchen and Bath. It was completed during the Spring of 2017 to enter into the 2016-2017 National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Student Design Compeition. For the compeition, I will turn in a cover page that explains the project and my design decisions, a floor plan with a corresponding specification sheet, a construction plan, a mechanical plan, five elevations, wo perspectives, and a digital materials board. This project was added to my portfolio to showcase a few of the construction documents that I carefully created in Chief Archiect while abiding by the NKBA deign standards.
