USSD gateway

Fixed, mobile, convergent, OTT

Voice, Messaging, Data, Content

Subscribers can use USSD messaging service to perform operations without customer care intervention: top-ups, service activations, queries, etc. USSD is also used by enterprises to offer personalized service to their customers. A USSD platform consists of the USSD gateway and a USSD menu browser application. The USSD gateway translates USSD requests from network protocol (MAP) into IT protocols (such as HTTP). The USSD menu browser application manages the menu logic, and integration with IT business applications or 3rd party applications.

EU Roaming 3

Fixed, mobile, convergent, OTT

Voice, Messaging, Data, Content

This application allows the mobile operator to comply with the EU Roaming 3 regulation. The European Regulation mandates that mobile operators allow their subscribers to buy roaming services from Alternative Roaming Providers, while keeping the SIM card. From the technical point of view, the mobile operators must be able to dynamically route voice, SMS, MMS and Data signaling towards own charging systems or alternative roaming provider’s charging system. Routing is based on information like service type, subscriber location, destination number & special commercial conditions. Both prepaid and postpaid are supported.

Call me back

Fixed, mobile, convergent, OTT

Voice, Messaging, Data, Content

This application allows a prepaid user that does not have credit to communicate with his/her friends. The user dials a USSD code followed by the friend’s number, and the application sends an SMS on his behalf to the other party. The SMS has the A-Party’s mobile number as originator, making it easy to the B-Party to call back. Optionally, the application can limit the number of call me back requests per day, to avoid spam or service abuse.

Call Completion Application Voice, Messaging, Data, Content

Fixed, mobile, convergent, OTT

This application allows a mobile user to know who called while his/her phone was switched off, busy or temporarily detached from network. When a call towards the mobile number cannot be achieved, the call is redirected to the application, who registers the call attempt. Later, when the user becomes available, the application sends an SMS containing missed calls information. An additional facility of the application allows users having missed calls to notify the caller when he/she is available attached again to the network. This application works for both users with and without Voice Mail activated.

On-line charging system

Fixed, mobile, convergent, other

Voice, Messaging, Data, Content

The on-line charging system performs pricing and account balance management for prepaid and post-paid subscribers. It allows operators to manage the real-time authorization of all prepaid usage, and the prepaid subscriptions lifecycle. The prepaid model is very well suited for customers that require real-time control of their spending, or postpaid customers that want to control part of the consuption. At the same time, this model is embraced by operators when they need to have no debt exposure. Application Server Cluster

Customer wanted to have their own product in the area of SS7 Stack functionality to replace a market product SS7 stack. Computaris delivered SS7 Stack application with comparable functionality in relatively short time allowing the Customer to eliminate any 3rd party components in theirs SS7 signaling solution implementations.

The Signalling Gateway Client solution is composed of two functional parts: • Tcap Stack which runs within JVM of the application which uses services provided by SGC • SGC - core part which handles clustering, routing and M3UA and SCCP layers functionalities. SGC & SGC Stack offers following main features: • Communicates with Signalling Gateways using Sigtran M3UA protocol. • Communicates with IPSP using Sigtran M3UA protocol. • Communicates with TCAP User application using TCAP SPI 1.5 and 1.6 interface. .pode Bridging the gap between IT and telecoms

Premium content - is special content for which operators takes additional payment (like ring-tones, wallpapers, themes, audiobooks, online movies, VOD etc.) Project enables to group Premium Services into different groups divided by service cost (up to 0.25 EUR, up to 0.5 EUR, up to 1 EUR , etc. and BLOCK_ALL group). User can select one of the group for HTTP and RTSP (streaming) premium content. Delivered system blocks user traffic before it reach premium page and redirects user to predefined page with appropriate information - so no additional payment is added. Call Request

Sometimes called: Pay4Me, Call me back Gives credit starved subscribers an opportunity to make important calls, children can call parents; friends can keep talking; etc. Also helps pre-paid roamers save costs = only paying for terminating portion of calls. Enables a pre-paid subscriber with low credit to request a contact to call them. The subscriber uses USSD menus or calls a service number and provides the number of their contact. Additionally, the service may also be automatically offered to subscribers attempting to call with insufficient credit. The service can either simply send a text message to the contact requesting them to call back, or the service may out-dial and interact with the “called” party, asking them to accept the call charges before setting up the call. The service can be configured for use only by pre-paid customers with a balance below a specified threshold, and may be restricted to send call requests only to on-net destinations.
