Based in Scandinavia and Kenya, Malaika Cotton is a design brand with a conscience, dedicated to create unique textile products by fusing style with ethics. With a base in our Northern design heritage we are influenced and inspired by aesthetics around the world. As it turns out, a touch of the cold North combined with the proud crafting traditions of our suppliers make a perfect match, and we feel we have found a balance between design and production that gives you a happy product (that stands aside from trends and the careless consumer culture.) We are constantly exploring and developing new products, patterns and textiles.

Mudcloth is an old african coloring technique where the white cotton cloth is painted with mud and then dyed in a textile based color. When the mud is washed out the white cotton becomes visible. Here our cushion and throw in pattern ”tyre”.
