PLYMOUTH UNIVERSITY
Plymouth University (formerly the University of Plymouth) is a modern, dynamic university but with an educational history dating as far back as 1862. As it celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, therefore, Plymouth University has embraced a new identity, one which is more in-tune with its confident and dynamic style, and which reflects its partnership with students. So, no longer do our undergraduates and postgraduates study at the University of Plymouth – they study with Plymouth University. With approximately 30,000 students, Plymouth University is one of the UK’s largest and most prominent institutions and is consistently rated amongst the top modern universities in the UK. The University has recently invested over £100 million in new buildings and facilities including a modern library, extra computing and learning resource facilities, fitness/sports centre and teaching space. Thanks to the University’s seaside location, our water sports facilities are particularly good, but there are plenty of opportunities for a wide range of other sports and leisure activities.

Plymouth enjoys a combination of rural charm and modern city living, and is about 3 hours by train from London and with ferry links to France and Spain. The University is set in the heart of the city with shops, facilities and attractions nearby.
