Miguel Guimarães
I was born in September 1988, lived my youth in the north of Portugal and early started to explore the fantastic world of drawing, painting and architecture. My pursuit for a life in architecture and arts field started in 2007 when i decided to study in Lisbon, which was a reward for my education, culture and working skills. The academic life during six years at the University of Lisbon ended with a final master thesis: «Ovar’s Cinema-Theater School: the value of performing Arts for the city’s development.» Budapest was my first European experience and B.M.E. - Budapest University of Technology and Economics my mentor. Within ERASMUS exchange program, i had the opportunity to study, travel, getting in touch with a new city, language and architectural culture. During the year of 2014, Berlin was my home, inspiration and field of experiences. The people, streets and daily life helped me to grow as an open-minded, creative and dedicated professional. Since February 2015, Zürich has been a delightful discover for me, a fresh re-start and an opportunity to study german language and the interesting Swiss culture. For several years, i took the chance of getting involved with several projects which gave me the experience to overcome challenges and above all, to find good solutions. Now, I’m looking forward to continue this path with a fulfilling professional internship experience to dedicate my motivation and to give my best to, allowing me to grow professionally and personally while constantly improving myself.
