Cross launches a softshell jacket for golf Softshell outer fabric has been the hottest ticket in technical outdoor and skiwear for the past several years. We are now using our expertise in this area to launch a laser-cut, technical golf jacket in this material. Softshell is the name of a group of various outerwear fabrics that are both soft and stretchy - but that also have the same protective qualities as traditional woven fabrics for jackets. Softshell jackets are soft and pliable, and thanks to the fabric’s relative thickness, also have a certain warming quality without the need for padding. Softshell is available in many varieties and for our White Heat series we have used an advanced material with an extremely high degree of waterproofness (25.000mm) and breathability (10.000mm). In order to create precision and flexibility in the jacket certain critical parts of the material are laser cut and the seams are welded. For those of you who are searching for an advanced, warmth giving golf jacket, Cross’ White Heat is a very interesting alternative.
