click here to get inspired by some very creative image based resumes click here to see a swf example that contains the image within itself (746.5KB) click here to see a swf example that calls the image from outside (22.7KB). the image it loads in is 520KB.

create this: import an image to the stage (or better yet just leave it in the same folder as the fla). if you import it, make a movieclip named resume out of it (F8 it on stage). you can add an extra box behind it for a scrolling background color if you'd like. delete the clip...

grab a from Window/Components and drag it to the stage. position its upper lefthand corner where you want the upper lefthand corner of your resume to be:

instance name it

...

right click on the resume movieclip in the Library and select Properties:

to turn on Export for ActionScript.

now we can talk to it even though it's in the Library and not on stage using Actionscript.

two choices: to use the movieclip (swf size 766KB):

to use the image file in the same folder as your movie instead (reduces the size of your swf to 22.7KB; the jpeg is 520KB):

Command Return to test.
