Read the daily prayer

Thank you for joining us in this Eucharistic Revival Novena to St. John Vianney. A novena is a series of prayers that are said for nine consecutive days which dates back to the birthday of the Church. The nine days recall the days the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary spent in prayer betweenAscension ThursdayandPentecost Sunday.

We will be praying together each day, starting on 27 July and ending on 4 August, the Feast of St. John Vianney. During these nine days, we will pray before the Blessed Sacrament for an increase of Vocations to the Priesthood in the Archdiocese for the Military Services. Each day we will pray as follows:

1. Sing the song of Exposition (O Salutaris Hostia) (Pg 27) 2. Read the gospel passage of the day 3. Read the daily prayer 4. Recite the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be 5. Recite the Litany of St. John Vianney (Pgs 24-26) 6. Sing the song of Benediction (Tantum Ergo Sacramentum) (Pg 28) 7. Recite the closing prayers and the Divine Praises (Pgs 29-31)
