Fokker Dr.I The Fokker Dr.I was a challenge to fly for inexperienced pilots, but in the hands of a veteran, it was almost unstoppable in a dogfight; executing combat maneuvers with lethal ease. Its lack of speed ultimately led to the Dr.I being outclassed, and it was sent to training and home defense duties. This reconstruction was brought to the museum in 2009 and is painted as the aircraft flown by Leutnant August Raben, who commanded Jasta 18, called “Staffel Raben. These pilots all depicted a raven image on the sides of their planes.
