04 Corporate Social Responsibility SUPPORT FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROJECTS WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO THE COUNTRY'S DEVELOPMENT IS PART OF THE BANK'S MISSION. Gorongosa Business Club Gorongosa National Park is currently one of the most biodiverse places in the entire planet. Millennium bim's membership of the Gorongosa Business Club enables the Bank to support the "Girls Clubs" program which focuses in educating children and young girls on issues such as personal safety, nutrition and family planning, thereby making a strong contribution in the creation of opportunities for an improved integration and sustainable growth of the local population. A Clean City for Me An environmental education project that has as its main objective to create awareness about new waste treatment habits within the students, focusing on the issue of recycling and the importance it has to maintain the city clean. There have been several activities carried out in schools with the purpose of alerting them to the importance of environmental protection, promoting the basic principles of sustainability: Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. Having started in 2017, approximately 10.800 students from primary and secondary schools in Maputo, Matola, Vilanculos and Tete have participated.
Banking Olympics A financial literacy project that has focused on the training of a new generation of consumers of financial services, instilling in young people the importance of money management in their personal development. Ten secondary schools represented by 400 students have participated in this project. After the exams, 4 students from each school have been selected, involving a total of 40 finalists. They have attended an entrepreneurship workshop where, together with their teachers, they have worked on various financial topics in order to promote their ability to develop an innovative idea, presented the idea at a grand finale, using the right financial instruments for their practical implementation. Corporate Volunteering Corporate volunteering project that encourages the bank’s employees and their families to participate in actions of social and community interest, implementing projects that the institutions concerned wish to undertake, but for which they don’t have enough volunteers or the financial literacy to do so. Musiarte The National Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts offers musical education to children from an early age and promotes the artistic, intellectual and personal growth of their students. The Bank has supported this project financially and by promoting joint initiatives for the development and diffusion of Mozambican music and drama.
Millennium bim Mini Basketball Tournament Set up by the Bank in 2005 and present in about 10 cities across the country, over 20.000 children from 6 to 11 years old have participated in this social sports training project. Some of the biggest names in national basketball began their sporting careers at the Millennium bim Mini Basketball Tournament.

"The event has brought together individuals from various sectors to discuss and share experiences about the role of women in the Mozambican society through their life stories, revealing the diďŹƒculties and challenges they had to face until they succeeded.
