Beds & Books AUTUMN/WINTER 2013

Two things for a good night’s sleep Is there anything better than a brilliant book and a lovely bed to ensure a good night’s sleep? At Mille Notti we don’t think so. That’s why we have invited three writers to present the autumn/winter 2013 collection. This time our designers looked to the British Isles for inspiration. The collection features traditional Scottish patterns such as glen check and paisley in calming shades of petrol blue and plum. The materials include crisp percale, rich satin, soft velvet and warming wool. We invite you to take a look into three different bedrooms and meet Denise, Alex and Danyel.

Denise Rudberg Denise has created her own genre: elegant crime. Thrilling stories about high society crimes. She enjoys writing in bed with a candy bowl and notepad within reach – as well as a nap.

I write because I can, and because it’s what I love to do.

Alex Schulman Alex is a writer who also appears on the stage and works with television and radio. But he always wonders why he isn’t writing when he’s working with something else.

In an antiquarian in Paris I found a very old copy of Auguste Escoffier’s cookbook. He is the king of chefs, so that was one of my greatest book discoveries.

Danyel Couet Danyel is a cookbook writer and restaurateur at restaurants such as Fredsgatan 12 and Le Rouge in Stockholm. He has written six cookbooks, all with the same goal: to dispel the idea that cooking is difficult.
