SWhat is the motivation of your work?
My work examines themes of nostalgia, identity and the portrayal of the self. I draw from my past experiences to create intimate self-portraits that bring the viewer closer to the complexities of our inner world.
Your use of photography is quite abstract, what are you trying to convey to the viewer?
I use photography as an exploratory process to capture and give form to inner landscapes, fleeting sensations, memory and experience, the unspoken and unseen.
What is your methodology?
I work with multiple exposure techniques to create layers that give my artworks a textured, otherworldly feel. I also use colour, black and white, analogue and digital photography processes which reveals the fragile nature of the self and bridges the gap between our innermost state and the outward image we portray in our everyday lives.
