Congratulations to our 2021-22 Millikin Retirees! Robin Steadman
Dr. Jo Carter
Administrative Assistant Robin Steadman retired in December 2021 after serving at Millikin since 2001.
Dr. Jo Carter retired in July 2022 as Associate Professor of Nursing after teaching at Millikin since 1982.
Dr. Eduardo Cabrera
Dr. Brad Holmes
Dr. Eduardo Cabrera, Professor of Spanish and Chair of the Department of Modern Languages, retired from Millikin in December 2021. He had been on the MU faculty since 2004.
Dr. Holmes, a Millikin faculty member since 1991, retired as Professor of Music in July 2022.
Dr. Sheila Jesek-Hale
Adjunct Professor Beth Holmes
Dr. Jesek-Hale served on the Millikin faculty from 2008 to her December 2021 retirement as Associate Professor of Nursing.
Adjunct Professor of Music Beth Holmes retired from Millikin in July 2022 after more than 20 years as a member of the Millikin faculty. Holmes also served as a Lecturer from 2019 to 2022.
Dr. Pam Lindsey
Dr. Randy Brooks
Dr. Lindsey, a member of the Millikin faculty since 2010, retired as Dean of the College of Professional Studies and Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing in April 2022.
Dr. Brooks joined the Millikin faculty in 1990 and retired in July 2022 as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Dawn Johnson Administrative Assistant Dawn Johnson retired in May 2022 after being on the MU staff since December 2005.
Dr. James St. James Dr. St. James joined the Millikin faculty in 1986, retiring as Chair and Professor of Behavioral Sciences in July 2022.
Dr. Cynthia Handler Dr. Handler, a Millikin faculty member since 1997, retired as Associate Professor and Director of the Pre-Professional Program in July 2022.
Professor Mary Garrison Professor Garrison, a member of the Millikin faculty since 2005, retired in July 2022 as Professor of Social Work in the Department of Behavioral Sciences.
Did You Know? Millikin has nearly 200 endowed scholarships, funds and awards honoring retired, emeritus and current faculty and staff. Last year, 140 students benefited from these financial opportunities.
