Strategic School Solutions is a consulting group with a mission to provide capacity building mechanisms to develop the educational organization. We aim to increase the effectiveness of instructional programs by adding value to school leadership initiatives, culture and organizational infrastructure. Our solutions are rooted in current research trends, efficiency tools, strategic and collaborative planning and practices for optimal results in raising student achievement.

A Justifiable Need

School leaders are often left with little time to assess, strategize, implement and sustain desired results. They are often inundated with unique challenges associated with the job. For example, educational leaders have the obligation to lead and manage leadership teams, instructional programs, school cultures, address concerns of stakeholders, and physically attend school events and fund raising opportunities. These responsibilities name just a few competing priorities. Understandably, the circumstance frequently leaves leaders struggling to focus efforts and resources.

Menu of Services Strategic School Solutions offers several options that address site-specific challenges faced by school leaders: Organizational Assessments: Insight gained from stakeholders provides administrators and leadership councils’ critical data on morale, service gaps, resources needed and more. Examples of methods include focus groups, survey assessments and a S.W.O.T. analysis. Strategic Planning: How a leader uses time is imperative to success. Our group will help leadership determine clear and defined focus based on the measure of success desired. We can support refinement of the agency’s mission and goals, develop organizational priorities and strategies to attain them. Executive Coaching: Leaders are a critical part of the success of any school. Their level of influence inspires production of an effective, successful organization. Strategic School Solutions facilitates leadership development of internal skills, such as cognitive capacity and interpersonal skills such as emotional intelligence via coaching. Variations include: directly- in the form of one-on-one sessions, indirectly- with the results of 360-evaluations or video recordings of sessions.

Staff Training and Professional Development: Our group offers transference of skills through staff training, professional development design and/or facilitation through workshops, trainings and coaching. Inquiry based, hands-on trainings are utilized. Furthermore, classroom observations, visits, peer walkthroughs and feedback sharing sessions are available as additional options for implementation tactics. Technical Assistance: Strategy remains theoretical until put into action. We will work with designated leadership, such as the Technology Coordinator, to activate plans, support initiation, implementation and maintenance of project goals. For example, we can provide templates of frameworks utilized, grant, proposal, or curriculum writing support, accessibility for clarification, technical training for designee and/or department.
