Millsaps College is dedicated to academic excellence, open inquiry and free expression; the exploration of faith to inform vocation; and the innovative shaping of the social, economic and cultural progress of our region.
Millsaps College does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status or any legally protected status.
“In my heart, I knew that large schools with as little job and life experience I had back then would completely overwhelm me. What sold me was that Millsaps would allow me to explore who I was as a writer in a more intimate learning experience.”
WHY
TRANSFER TO MILLSAPS COLLEGE?
“What specifically interested me in transferring was the caliber and passion of the professors. They care about your success a lot more than at big state schools.”
— BERNARD BOOTH, CLASS OF 2024 Jackson, Mississippi
— CANDACE McKENZIE, CLASS OF 2021 Emerging Reporters Fellow, Mississippi Today
WHY TRANSFER TO
MILLSAPS COLLEGE?
At Millsaps, our students come from a range of generational, geographic, ethnic, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. As a transfer student, you can offer a unique perspective that is crucial to the vibrancy of our campus!
WILL MY CREDITS TRANSFER, AND IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS EASY?
Most importantly, we offer guaranteed admission and scholarships to qualified transfer students who apply to Millsaps College.
You’ve worked hard for the credits you’ve earned, and we will work just as hard to ensure that as many of those credits as possible transfer to Millsaps. As soon as you’re admitted, you will receive a Preliminary Credit Evaluation, and we’ll work together from there.
Visit www.millsaps.edu/apply for detailed instructions. You’ll need to request an official transcript from each institution you have attended. If you have less than 30 college credit hours and a cumulative high school GPA less than 3.0, you will need to submit a copy of your high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores.
ARE THERE ANY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS?
Once you are admitted, you are guaranteed a $6,000 housing grant toward on-campus residence halls, and you may also receive merit scholarships ranging from $18,000 to $22,000, plus additional awards for students involved with Phi Theta Kappa ranging from $5,000 to $7,000. Find more scholarship information at www.millsaps.edu/scholarships.
