Who’s Who in the Cast STEFAN KARL (The Grinch) is best known for his role as the villain Robbie Rotten in the TV series Lazy Town. Currently shown on PBS Sprout, CBS and in more than 130 countries, Lazy Town won the prestigious BAFTA award for the episode “Robbie’s Greatest Misses” in 2007. Stefan’s theatre work in the past includes: The National Theatre of Iceland: Spamalot (Herbert), Cyrano de Bergerac (Cyrano), Singin’ in the Rain (Cosmo Brown), Stones in His Pockets (Jake Quinn), Lazy Town (Robbie Rotten), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), Noises Off (Lloyd), The Reykjavik City Theatre: Little Shop of Horrors (The Dentist) and many others. Films include: Regina, Stella for office, Polite People and Johannes from 2010 and more. This is Stefan’s seventh year with the Grinch company and he has done more then 400 shows in about 34 cities in North America.

Paint Your Wagon (Ben Rumson) and Evita (Juan Peron) both earned him Dramalogue Awards. He’s worked with Phyllis Diller, Roger Daltrey, John Lithgow, Kristen Chenoweth and many others. An accomplished operatic baritone, he’s sung in La Bohéme (Marcello), Verdi’s Falstaff (Falstaff), Carmen (Escamillo), Die Fledermaus (Dr. Falke) and many more. Before joining Grinch, he was charming audiences as Santa Claus in the Las Vegas Christmas Spectacular, Believe in the Magic and has performed for the last 13 years in the most successful corporate act in the world, The Three Waiters.

Theodor Geisel in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 2, 1904. After attending Dartmouth College and Oxford University, he began a career in advertising. Dr. Seuss’s first children’s book, And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, hit the market in 1937, changing the world of children’s literature forever. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1984, two Emmy awards and three Academy awards, Seuss was the author and illustrator of 44 books, many of which have been made into audiocassettes, animated television specials and videos. His books include The Cat in the Hat, which infused 236 simple words with rhythm, rhyme and humor, and Green Eggs and Ham which used only 50 words. Even after his death in 1991, Dr. Seuss continues to be the world’s best-selling author of children’s books.
