APPLAUDING YOU

For banking where you–and your financial needs–can truly shine, Zions Bank is for you.

Proudly supporting our community arts–and you.

There was only one.

Welcome to the Morrison Center for TINA – The Tina Turner Musical, the inspiring journey of a woman who broke barriers and rewrote the rules to become the Queen of Rock n’ Roll and one of the best-selling artists ever. Set to the pulsepounding soundtrack of her greatest hits, TINA is a comeback story told on the Morrison Center stage for the first time.

TINA is what’s known as a bio-musical and original musical telling an artist’s life story through their catalog of music. Other bio-musicals are A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, currently on Broadway MJ: The Musical. The role of Tina is so demanding that two actresses alternate playing her on tour. The number of costumes tops at 430, and 180 wigs were created to channel Tina’s iconic fashion ensembles for the Broadway stage production. Behind Tina on stage are projections designed by Jeff Sugg to enhance the scenery and create dynamic transitions. As you watch the performance, notice how the imagery complements the narrative’s emotional moments.

We have had an incredible season of Broadway in Boise, and we still have one more show left in our 2024-2025 season - Wicked! Our deepest thanks to our season sponsors; we are grateful for your support and shared dedication to the performing arts.
