MISSION: Tuacahn edifies and inspires the human spirit through professional world-class family entertainment and an unparalleled artistic and academic experience that matches the majesty of our canyon. Known best for its professional theatre, Tuacahn attracts the most talented actors in America. Each year, thousands of applicants audition from New York City to Los Angeles. Tuacahn productions include professional Equity Actors, many of whom have performed on Broadway or in other nationally recognized venues. As a community asset, Tuacahn entertains more than 300,000 patrons each year, with musicals, concerts, shopping, food, and other special events. Tuacahn is Utah’s largest professional non-profit theatre and acts as an economic engine generating an annual impact of more than $100 million. Visitors stay in hotels, dine at restaurants, and shop at retail outlets while enjoying recreational activities in one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Tuacahn High School for the Arts engages and cultivates the creative mind while laying a foundation for a lifelong love of learning and success. Tuacahn High provides a holistic and dynamic educational curriculum. Students spend their days immersed in both academics and art. WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST NICOLE ATHILL (Tiara, Ensemble) is thrilled to be back at Tuacahn for Elf this holiday season! Nicole hails from San Diego, California and currently resides in New York City. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the Ray Bolger Musical Theatre Program at UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, & Television. Favorite credits include: The Little Mermaid, When You Wish, The Sound of Music (Tuacahn), Chicago, The Little Mermaid (Moonlight), Sunday in the Park with George, Carrie the Musical, and Our Country’s Good (UCLA). She would like to thank her phenomenal Tuacahn cast, crew, creative, and artistic team who are like family. WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST KATY CORBUS (Ensemble) is thrilled to join the cast of Elf the Musical after spending the last six months performing in Tuacahn’s mainstage season. A San Francisco Bay Area native, Katy received her BFA from Emerson College and calls NYC home. National Tour: 42nd Street (u/s Peggy Sawyer), A Garfield Christmas. Previous credits: Chicago, Spelling Bee (Park Playhouse), All Shook Up, Fiddler on the Roof (Priscilla Beach Theatre), Shrek the Musical (Berkeley Playhouse), The Secret Garden (Lamplighters Music Theatre). Proud teaching artist with DreamStreet Theatre Co. and Mark Morris Dance Group. Deep love & thanks to Mamas. MYA CROWTHER (Ensemble) age 11, is excited to make her professional debut in the production of ELF. She has performed roles as Tinkerbell, a Bird Girl and Tigerlily, participated in community theater, school plays, COPA and PCH Youth Academy. She performed her first solo at age three when she discovered her love for performing in front of an audience and has looked for opportunities to sing and perform since. Besides singing she loves to play soccer, design dollhouses, create drawings, build with Legos, put together puzzles, create games, direct skits, swim, act, hike, ride bikes, produce performances for assisted living centers and her YouTube station. She is grateful for her family for making this possible for her and her many teachers and coaches that have taught and trained her in preparation for this debut. DAVID ENGEL* (Walter Hobbs) returns to the Tuacahn stage after playing another gruff “Dad” (who learns valuable life lessons from his children) in Mary Poppins. On Broadway Mr. Engel appeared in La Cage aux Folles, Seussical, and Putting it Together with Carol Burnett. He is most noted for creating the role of Smudge in the original New York production of Forever Plaid, and again in Plaid Tidings and Forever Plaid: The Movie. Favorites include starring roles in Crazy for You, The Music Man, Singin’ in the Rain, The elf the musical

Producers, Chicago, The Addams Family, Mamma Mia!, and playing opposite the legendary Leslie Caron in Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. David also played a successful run on London’s West End including a performance on the Royal Variety Show followed by a private audience with the Queen of England. In addition Mr. Engel shared an onscreen romance with RuPaul in the award winning cult musical short film Zombie Prom. CYNTHIA FERRER* (Deb, u/s Emily Hobbs) has played leading roles in over onehundred musicals at major theaters across the country, including four National Tours. Harper has been watching her older sister Sloane on the “big stage” for the past two years, and is overjoyed to finally be performing on it. She’s done numerous community theatre roles. A few of her favorites are; Chip (Beauty and the Beast), Arista/Crocodile (Peter Pan Jr.) When Harper is not performing she enjoys soccer, gymnastics, arts and crafts, and playing dress-up. He is excited to make his Tuacahn debut. SHARI JORDAN (Asst. Artistic Producer/Casting Coordinator) from Raleigh, NC, began her professional career as an actor in the National Tour of Crazy for You (Tess). She has since performed from NYC to LA. Shari began at Tuacahn in 2010 as dance captain for Crazy for You. She has performed at Tuacahn for the past nine seasons and been the dance captain for 17 shows. Tuacahn audiences may remember Shari as Rosie in Mama Mia!, the Mother in the World Premier of Disney’s When You Wish, Mama Bear in Shrek, and Madame in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Shari performed the role of Ulla and every other female role in Mel Brooks’ The Producers on the Broadway National Tour as well as the Las Vegas production with Tony Danza and David Hasselhoff. Shari was an assistant choreographer to five time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman for the historic Hollywood Bowl’s production of The Producers and performed the role of Shirley Markowitz. She is also in the film of The Producers. Shari was a Radio City Rockette for six seasons and a national champion baton twirler. Director/Choreographer/Assistant credits include The Stage Door, Hollywood Bowl, University of Michigan, Pittsburgh CLO, North Shore Music Theatre, North Carolina Theatre and TNT’s Emmy winning AFI’s Tribute to Mel Brooks in which Shari had a featured role. building experience with him, most notably 8 years on the TV series Touched by an Angel. After earning a BFA from USU his career has taken him from Alaska to Florida and New York to California. He is excited to settle in one place for a while and spend time with his family. TRUXTON MOULTON (Assistant Technical Director) is in his 8th season at Tuacahn and is eagerly engaged to be a part of the magic that only Tuacahn can bring. Theater has been a part of his life for 18 years now and has dragged him all over Utah. He started off working at Pioneer Theatre Company and the LDS conference center. After Serving a tour in Iraq, he studied technical theatre at Snow College and Utah State University. Now with the love and support of his beautiful wife Megan and his 5 crazy kids, he has found his dream job here at Tuacahn. CRAIG ENGEL (Production Manager) is in his third year as the Production Manager at Tuacahn managing last year’s productions of The Little Mermaid, When You Wish, The Sound of Music, and Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. SIERRA ABIGAIL MAY (Production Assistant) Graduated from Tuacahn High School May 2019 as an aspiring young Stage Manager. Sierra’s been working at Tuacahn Amphitheater for the past three seasons. Started on run crew for the productions of Shrek the Musical, Mamma Mia, and Newsies. The following season was a Spot Operator for Matilda, Cinderella, and The Prince of Egypt. Later became Head Spot swing for The Little Mermaid, When You Wish, and Sound of Music. In addition had the opportunity to P.A the production A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. She is excited to widen her experience and knowledge in the creative world of Theater. THOMAS MEEHAN (Book) received the Tony Award for co-writing the book for The Producers and for co-writing the book for Hairspray. He received his first Tony Award in 1977 for writing the book of Annie, which was his first Broadway show, and has written the books for the musicals Rocky, Elf the Musical, Cry-Baby, Young Frankenstein, Chaplin, Bombay Dreams, I Remember Mama, Ain’t Broadway Grand and Annie Warbucks. Mr. Meehan was also a member of the Council of the Dramatists Guild. BOB MARTIN (Book) has been working as an actor/ writer in Canadian theater, film and television for over 3 decades. He is a co-creator of The Drowsy Chaperone, and has performed in many of its incarnations including Ahmanson Theatre (LA), Marquis Theatre (Broadway), Novello (London). Bob has won a number of awards for his work including an LA Drama Critics Circle Award, an L.A. Stage Alliance Ovation Award, a Drama Desk Award, a Theatre World Award, and a Tony Award. He is also co-creator of the critically acclaimed dramatic series “Slings and Arrows.” Recent theatre projects include Elf (Broadway), Minsky’s (Ahmanson LA), and in dev., Gotta Dance, The Prom, The Sting, and Millions. MATTHEW SKLAR (Music) is a Tony, Emmy, and Drama Desk Award-nominated composer. His works include the Broadway musicals Elf, The Wedding Singer (Tony Award Nomination for Outstanding Music) and The Prom. He also wrote the music for The Rhythm Club (Signature Theatre), Judas & Me and Wicked City (American

Stage Company). CHAD BEGUELIN (Lyrics) is a four-time Tony Nominee whose works include Disney’s Aladdin (Tony Award Nom, for Best Book and Best Original Score, Drama Desk Award Nom. For Outstanding Lyrics and Best Book) and The Wedding Singer (Tony Award Nomination for Best Book and Best Original Score, Drama Desk Award Nom. For Outstanding Lyrics). He also wrote the book, and lyrics for the new Broadway musical The Prom. SMITH (CEO/Executive Producer) has been with Tuacahn for more than twenty years, serving in various capacities including marketing associate, company manager, production manager, development associate, producer, and Chief Executive Officer. He received his undergraduate from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Sociology and minor in Business Management and received a Master of Education degree from Southern Utah University. Kevin has produced or coproduced more than 40 musicals at Tuacahn and oversees all facets of Tuacahn operations and programs. Kevin was instrumental in the creation of Utah’s first public charter high school, the Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts, which opened its doors in 1999. Kevin lives in Ivins with his wonderful wife, Rebecca, and their children.
