INTRODUCTION
This book is a visual portfolio of all the styling work I have created for my final major project. My styling is based on the ideas of conformity and chaos. The first look is inspired by the generic uniform we have adapted due to the restraint of authentic identity. I have chosen to visualise the message of conformity using men’s ties, I have created skirts, belts and waistcoats adapted to the body of the model. Brands that have inspired the process of the conformity concept are MiuMiu Spring 2022 and Coperni Autumn/Winter 2022. One of my main influences is Ukraine designer Ksenia Schneider who repurposes men’s ties. The second styling look is centred around the idea of Chaos, I have chosen to visualise the narrative through colour and shape. I have conducted 8 different styling shoots in preparation for the creation of my pack of affirmation playing cards. All the imagery I have captured I have translated them into the form of a playing card. Overall, I styled 16 looks while taking on the role of creative director, photographer, hairdresser, and makeup artist. This was an extremely challenging process for me as I feel I took on a lot of responsibility, but it was worth it for the outcome that I have created.
