TIME IS ON MY SIDE by Nancy Proffitt Often people complain about the lack of time, even though we all get the same amount of time in a given day... there are the same 24 hours in a day and 60 minutes in an hour for everyone.
Track your time. Analyze
Do you ever wonder why some people are always rushed, stressed, anxious and constantly running while others have the time to think, plan, work and play with balance? The constant demands of everyday life can seem overwhelming and stalemate us in our ability to get things done.
One at a time.
It is not really our lack of time but actually it is our lack of how to effectively use that time. So what can we do about it? Here are some helpful thoughts and steps to free up more time. Deal with your "reality" about time. Many of our time management issues are actually related to our own behavior. So the first step to freeing up more time is to understand yourself and your limiting behavior. All too often everything is treated with the same level of importance. Prioritize work based on importance instead of size of project. Think about important and urgent vs. important but not urgent. Over time, shift your list so that you are being proactive about your tasks.
Prioritize tasks.
how you spend your time. Take a week and record everything you do and the time you spend on each task. Map this out so you can visually see how you spend your day. Try to complete projects by working on each project individually. Let the computers multi-task. Have only one project at a time on your desk.
Delegate tasks you should not do. Many

Many people overload themselves with work. You can become overwhelmed and others cannot count on you to meet deadlines.

Around 3 million homeowners are behind in their payments and 1 .5 million homes are already in the foreclosure process, according to online RealtyTrac. The courts are full of foreclosures and are backed up getting them out. Banks are starting to work through their backlog of distressed properties, the Feds estimates that a million foreclosures will take place during the next couple of years.
So, the question is: Does it makes sense to keep paying a massive mortgage under water knowing it will take many years before homes regain its prior values? Or are you just throwing money out the window? Most people get to the point that after all their life savings are gone they have given up. Especially when the guy next store paid $150,000 less than you! What is the government doing about this? They have developed different programs over the years regarding Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loans only bought prior to 2009, allowing lenders to participate in financing up 125% of tile current value. But this doesn't always work because homeowners owe a lot more. They are coming out with new HARP 2.0 at the end of March that may help those who are more than 125% upside down.
We do know that over time that home values have always come back. I don't personally believe in throwing money out the window and your credit can always come back and everything drops off after 7 years regardless. Banks today will finance a foreclosure, a bankruptcy or short sale after 2-3 years now and that is with a Conventional Loan or a FHA Loan. One thing to remember, it's always better to have a short sale with no deficiency balance than go through a foreclosure. Normally there is no deficiency balance on primary residences.
