Composers create musical movement using motifs, melodic direction, steps and leaps, dynamics, and orchestration. Through the Link Up repertoire, hands-on activities, and a culminating performance, students will discover ways in which the orchestra moves!

Thank you for the amazing performance. My favorite songs were “Come to Play” and “The Firebird”. I play the cello and maybe I will be in the symphony someday. I loved your performance so thank you again! Gillian, 6th grade student, Wauwatosa

Leonard Bernstein making annotations to musical score, 1955

The key to the mystery of a great artist is that for reasons unknown, he will give away his energies and his life just to make sure that one note follows another ... and leaves us with the feeling that something is right in the world. Leonard Bernstein
