A B O U T T H E M I LW A U K E E S Y M P H O N Y O R C H E S T R A The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is among the finest orchestras in the nation. Since its inception in 1959, the MSO has found innovative ways to give music a home in the region, develop music appreciation and talent among area youth, and raise the national reputation of Milwaukee. The MSO’s full-time professional musicians perform more than 135 classics, pops, family, education, and community concerts each season in venues throughout the state. A pioneer among American orchestras, the MSO has performed world and American premieres of works by John Adams, Roberto Sierra, Phillip Glass, Geoffrey Gordon, Marc Neikrug, and Matthias Pintscher, as well as garnered national recognition as the first American orchestra to offer live recordings on iTunes. Beginning in 1971, the orchestra’s nationally syndicated radio broadcast series, the longest consecutive-running series of any U.S. orchestra, is heard annually by more than two million listeners on 147 subscriber stations in 38 of the top 100 markets. The MSO’s standard of excellence extends beyond the concert hall and into the community, reaching more than 30,000 children and their families through its Arts in Community Education (ACE) program, Youth and Teen concerts, Family Series, Adult Lecture Series, and Meet the Music pre-concert talks. Celebrating its 31st year, the nationally-recognized ACE program integrates arts education across all subjects and disciplines, providing opportunities for students when budget cuts may eliminate arts programming. The program provides lesson plans and supporting materials, classroom visits from MSO musician ensembles and artists from local organizations, and an MSO concert tailored to each grade level. In the 2020.21 season, more than 6,500 students and 400 teachers and faculty at 31 Southeastern Wisconsin schools participated in ACE virtually.
ABOUT THE LULL ABY PROJEC T The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is pleased to be one of over thirty organizations across the country and the world to be a Lullaby Project partner, a program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. Pregnant women, parents, and grandparents work with professional teaching artists to write personal lullabies for their children, supporting parental health, aiding child development, and strengthening the bond between parent and child. The lullabies are then professionally arranged, recorded, and finally shared in a public performance featuring professional musicians and the mothers and fathers themselves. The MSO is delighted to partner with Sojourner Family Peace Center to bring this program to Milwaukee.

Angel’s Lullaby
By Angel with Paul Hauer A change of scenery. A bright new chapter. Your smile is my energy. My playlist is your laughter. You will blossom into beautiful, intelligent people one day. And when you do, I’ll be there to support you in every way. Sun on my face. Good vibes and good times. ‘Cause everyday with you is a great day. Love more precious than gold. We Found Our Way
By Jill with John Tanner Snow falls, day calls, Time for just we three. Out the door, into the woods, Fits us perfectly. Wind blows, sun goes, Storm is all around. So lost. So afraid. How will we be found? We’ve got to try something new. There’s got to be a path to see us through. Starting here, right now, today, With God’s help, I will find a way. Fresh start, each heart, A river to be crossed. Soon you learn with everything, There will be a cost. Somehow, love now, Ashes, dust, and flame. Still I will believe, Hope will rise again. We’re starting something new. We found a path to see us through. Starting here, right now, today, With God’s help, we have found our way.

By Christiana with Eric Segnitz You feel alone, No place to go. The bullies they, They can get you down. And you might fall And scrape your knee. But, it’s okay to cry And come running to me. ‘Cause, I’ll be there for you. Don’t feel like giving up. I’ll wrap my arms around you and love you no matter. Time keeps passing by The world keeps spinning round. And, for our time together it’s loving that matters. Love you no matter. Don’t lose faith. The storms will pass.
