ordic Profile AS was established in the

year 2000. The owners of the company had already at that time worked in the shoe, textile, imprint and warehouse distribution markets for many years. The people behind the company had worked with brand names like Fred Perry, Moncler, Slazenger, Berghaus, Airwalk, Russell Athletic, Lee Jeans, Eastpack, Ripzone and Casall in the Norwegian retail market.





T

he start in 2000 we already had the imprint

business up running with Fruit of the loom from day one. The shoe, sport & textile business we started with Sense USA Skate, Santa Monica Airlines and our own brand California Classic. We also did longboard from Envy. Entity and Gordon & smith we did textiles. Hammer snowboard & Flow snowboard and bindings. Russell athletic. Degre 7 and Aesse skiwear. In 2001 we also started with icebug studshoes



A

fter five years, in 2005 we had a turnover

of about 3.2 million euros, and offered brand names like Levis Shoes and accessories, Russell Athletic, Zembla, Zanier, Kama, Fruit of the Loom, 3120, Odessa shoes, Hammer & Flow snoboard and Aesse and degree7 skiwear. This year one of the owners suddenly died. The company had to change itself fast. We now focus on fewer brands, have become more efficient and built our distribution more effectively. Focus became the shoe and the sportinggoods business. We established our own state of the art warehouse and established showroom in Oslo in the international shoe center.

rom 2005 we focused on the shoe business

and had success with shoes from Icebug. Odessa, Drunknmunky , Base London shoes. Insoles from Arch Flex system. Imprint business was brands like Fruit of the Loom, Russell, Stormtech, Anvil knitwear





I

n 2012 our total sales were around 3.2

million euros. (In 2013 we plan on 3.7 million euros ) We are selling around 45,000 pairs of shoes in the high end market (shop price150– 180 euros a pair). We are also building up distribution for cheaper shoes (20–50 euros a pair) . The goal in this market would be between 30–60,000 pairs in the short term, offering brands like Icebug, Base London, Exani, Odessa and DrunknMunky (all shoes).



W

e are still looking for brands that tell a

unique story. The objective of the strategy of offering low price shoes is to get in contact with more customers and increase our distribution in the Norwegian market and Scandinavian market. Nordic Profile has its own sales organization. 5 fulltime reps serving the total Norwegian market, shoe and sportingoods markets.
