A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri believes that Islamic educational institutes are not merely established to create individuals who can become good Imams, but to produce individuals who can become effective and positive contributors to the societies that they live within. Minhaj University in Pakistan was established so that it can train a new generation of practitioners who could apply their newly gained knowledge in an appropriate and effective manner, taking into consideration the needs of the local communities.

The founder of Minhaj College Manchester [MCM] Shaykh-ulIslam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ulQadri is a world-renowned scholar and is one of the world’s leading authorities in Islamic scholarship. He is also a former professor of Law and the author of over five hundred books. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri through his successful, journey as a leader and professor, has always held a vision to fulfil a longstanding need to produce individuals who impart true and authentic Islamic knowledge in line with the needs, requirements, and norms of British society. So, that they become true and effective leaders within their communities.

With this vision, he has already successfully established over 600 schools and colleges and a successful well-known university; Minhaj University Lahore. He continues with the same vision for Minhaj College Manchester, and has carefully monitored and structured the curriculum to ensure best results are achieved. Taking forward this vision Minhaj College has been established in Manchester, so that we can train faith leaders to take forward and address the challenges faced by British Muslims. BACKGROUND AND VISION
Minhaj College Manchester has the vision to fulfil a longstanding need to produce individuals who impart true and authentic Islamic education in line with British needs, requirements and norms.
Minhaj College Manchester (MCM) is working in partnership with the Minhaj University Lahore. The university was established in 1986 and is now a chartered university competing with the country’s finest universities. Minhaj College Manchester aims to continue with the same principle and standard, providing the education and training required to meet the many challenges faced by second and third generation British Muslims. The college aims to provide leadership to the British Muslim community so that the challenges being faced due to the present apparent lack of direction can be met.

Background and Vision
Minhaj College Manchester will be unique in the way it approaches issues related to Islam in the west and meeting the challenges of integration, interfaith harmony, radicalisation, conservatism and extremism. The media plays a crucial role on how Islam is perceived which is why emphasis will be placed on equipping individuals to be able to represent the true Islam and Muslims on the media and to refute misconceptions and propaganda. Minhaj College Manchester has the vision to fulfill a longstanding need to produce individuals who impart true and authentic Islamic education in line with British needs, requirements and norms.

Senior Lecturer (Visiting) Visiting Lecturer at the MCM, Dr Hassan has received a doctorate on his thesis ‘The Constitution of Medina and Modern Constitutional Principles’ (A Comparative Study of American, British & European Constitutional Law) from the Arab League University in Cairo, Egypt.
Lecturer Shaykh Ali Akbar is currently undergoing a PhD at Staffordshire University and has been previously a lecturer at institutions under the Minhaj University Lahore.
Junior Lecturer Shaykh Adnan Sohail specialized in the study of Prophetic traditions, nomenclature of Prophetic traditions and the Principles of the Sciences of Hadith at the faculty of Islamic Sciences and Theology in Al-Azhar University, Cairo (Egypt).
Mufti Sohail Ahmed Siddiqui Head of IDIIS The head of Islamic sciences Minhaj College Manchester. Mufti Sohail has studied at Jamia Islamia Minhaj ul Quran and has the honour of studying under the tutelage of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, where he has received a wealth of classical and traditional Islamic Knowledge from learned scholars.
Dr Muhammad Rafiq Habib Lecturer Dr Habib has a PhD and a Masters in Islamic & Arabic Studies from the University of Aberdeen. He has also studied Classical Islamic studies from the Minhaj University and AlAzhar University (Egypt).
All the teachers at Minhaj College are very well experienced and hold the passion for education. The MCM academic team consists of permanent resident lecturers alongside external visiting lecturers who will lecture upon a variety of subjects from classical Islamic studies to contemporary subjects such as teacher training and current affairs, ensuring a holistic environment for the students.

Our Faculty
Shaykh Tasneem Sadiq Lecturer Senior lecturer in finance at the Rotterdam University, and currently enrolled in a PhD program in management studies at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Alongside his professional education, he has studied the traditional Islamic curriculum with local and world renowned scholars.
Shaykh Waqas Ahmed Amin Junior Lecturer A graduate with a First-Class Honours in BA Arabic Language and International Relations and an MA in Political Theory and Philosophy, he has pursued the classical Islamic sciences privately in the UK since 2006, and was awarded al-Ijaza al`Ilmiyya al-Khassa (teaching license) by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in 2015. Currently, he works as an in-house translator and editor for Minhaj-ul-Quran Publications.
Shaykh Jawed Iqbal Examinations and Course Officer Course Developer at Minhaj College Manchester, Jawed Iqbal began a serious study of traditional Islamic studies in the UK. His studies led him to Pakistan where he graduated with a double master in Islamic Studies and Arabic from the Minhaj University Lahore (MUL). He was a research fellow at the Farid-e-Millat Research Institute (FMRi) in Lahore for four years which oversees the works of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ulQadri. He has continued to work in this field in the last few years.

Chairman Board of Governors, MCM Based in London, he has been active for many years at the grass roots in the spiritual and religious education of young Muslims. His main interest lies in tackling radicalisation of Muslims in the West and interfaith relations.
Senior College Lecturer Dr Javaid has been a college lecturer for 13 years and qualified with a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. He has been involved in various research projects which has resulted numerous publications in international academic journals.

Teacher and Examiner Abdul Qadir has over 30 years of experience in both public and private sectors and in delivering and managing a wide variety of Educational and vocational training programmes. As a Trainer, Assessor, and Internal Verifier, he delivered various vocational training programmes in Business, IT and Logistics. He has successfully
Tahseen Khalid has completed a Masters in Management with an emphasis on education sector management, he is currently undergoing PhD research in the field of higher educational leadership. He has also been involved at a senior director level management of an international education based NGO for over 8 year; therefore, placing him in a strong position to lead MCM.
Islamic Guidance (BCIG) Dr Habib has a PhD and a Masters in Islamic Studies & Arabic from the University of Aberdeen, he has also studied in depth Classical Islamic studies from the Minhaj University and Al-Azhar University (Egypt) and has completed teacher training courses in the UK.
Dr Raheeq Abbasi Senior Academic Management Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi has conducted PhD level research in Agent Technology at the Oxford Brookes University, alongside his MSc in High Speed Networking. Dr Abbasi has served on the board of governors at the Minhaj University Lahore (MUL). He was a member of the Board of Advance Studies and Research at the Minhaj University Lahore for 12 years. He remained chair of the Research and Review Committee at the Farid-eMillat Research Institute (FMRi). He was also the principal of the Jamia Islamia Minhaj-ul-Quran.

Yasmin Hussain Teacher and Examiner With a BSc Honours degree in Applied and Human Biology as well as a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Science with a specialism in Biology, Yasmin Hussain is an experienced teacher of Science within an outstanding school. Key responsibilities include the designing of interactive and engaging schemes of work as well as the marking and moderation of course work in line with the exam board mark schemes and regulations.

Imran Ashfaq Senior School Teacher and Head of Department Imran Ashfaq is the Head of Department for Physical Education at a secondary school. His roles include developing curriculum resources for delivery. Amongst his many teaching qualifications is the NPQSL. He has also led whole school projects looking at both pastoral and curriculum based projects. He has developed curriculum pathways enabling students to have personalised learning pathways.

Running a long-term institution is not all about the teaching, it is also about developing a curriculum and conducting research which helps bring ground breaking developments to the field. MCM wants to build its curriculum and get accredited as an officially validated UK BA (Honours) and MA degrees provider. 16

Fee Offsetting
Student Scholarships
£45,000 It costs us just over £4000 to provide our educational services for students, however keeping in mind the economic situation of the vast majority of parents we have capped our fee at £2500 per annum. The above fund will allow us to fund students to continue receiving a high level of education.
£2500 per student, per year. You can contribute to our scholarship fund to allow the most capable students who cannot attend MCM due to financial reasons to come and study with us for free. You will receive annual feedback on student development.
