CURRICULUM Nguyen Minh Dang Daniel Nguyen VITAE Architect

IN

Hi, my name is Nguyen Minh Dang, I work as an architect and an architectural researcher in Vietnam.

I had the chance to intern at a construction company three years ago. There, I expected to learn a great deal about sustainable development and historic architectural principles. Thank to that, I realized that my knowledge is merely a small part of the treasure trove of human architecture. My goal is to improve my theoretical, humanistic, creative and design capabilities while focusing more on architecture in the upcoming period. And Italy is my destination due to its long history of architecture and plenty of monumental buildings. EDUCATION:

STUDENT RESEARCH PROPOSAL FOR RECOVERY SPACE IN MATERNITY HOSPITAL IN VIETNAM TOWARD RECOVERY BASED ON PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGYv

STUDENT RESEARCH

The World Health Organization (WHO) describes the concept of human recovery as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the disappearance of disease or infirmity. However, in hospitals and medical facilities, the concept of comprehensive recovery is often reduced to a purely physical condition. In Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Health assessment, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the specialties with many patients in need of comprehensive recovery. On average, 20-30% of postpartum women experience mild to severe depression.

Before these transformational possibilities, this paper focuses on proposing solutions for the recovery of women’s health after childbirth in the direction of supporting recovery based on psychophysiology, replacing the use of drugs and medical devices with natural recovery. The proposed improvement for this problem is the application of architectural solutions to create a spatial organization capable of supporting treatment, helping to reduce pain naturally through psycho-environmental therapies. This solution uses environmental factors to stimulate hormones in the body such as Endorphins and Melatonin, thereby helping to reduce pain and improve sleep for postpartum women. 6

THE DEVERLOPMENT OF FINAL-YEAR PROJECT BIO-MOMMY HOSPITAL TREATMENT BASED ON PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGY

Pregnant women with countless psychological problems surrounding the birth of the fetus plus the physical pain after labor are in need of comprehensive recovery both physically and mentally.

Honestly, Because of the lack of time, I did not do my best in my graduation project. So after it was finished, I continued to perfect it and combine it with my university research. I would like to share my development process.

BIO-MOMMY HOSPITAL with its psychology-based treatment model is the first step to improve treatment effectiveness, providing pregnant women with a highly effective, safe, friendlier and more physically comprehensive recovery process.

The space under the main blocks is the basement for visitors and staff The 2nd and 3rd floors are mainly arranged for outpatient and inpatient examination areas The surgical area is located separately in the north of the land

Inpatient rooms use warm brown tones with high waves to help stimulate the creation of Melatonin - hormone that helps the body sleep well. At the same time, there are orange and jasmine plants in the room to help calm and regulate sleep for pregnant women

URBAN PLANNING

XOM RO - CULTURE INTERSECTION AND SUSTAINABILITY

The name Xom Ro originates from the work of the people in the area from the early years of their daily life. At that time, people lived mainly on the sea, they woven nets with struts to make “Catches” to catch fish. Later, this profession gradually developed and this area gradually became known as the hamlet named Ro. That is enough to culturalize the fishing village in the area into a unique and valuable culture over time.

Xom Ro (Tuy Hoa city) brings a difference in modern tourism activities. In order to create a new ecological living region, Xom Ro mixes a new tourism strategy that merges homestays with pre-existing old residences. At the same time, turn the fishing port into a symbol of the area, bringing in a contemporary touch while preserving the essence of the fishing hamlet and the long-standing historic architectural culture of this area.

Daniel Nguyen / Architecture Portfolio

Selected works / 2018- 2024 The primary goal is to preserve and enhance the area’s inherent cultural characteristics by turning the empty spaces between old buildings into green areas and connecting them with short road connections. Hold cultural games, sell souvenirs, and, more precisely, use the open spaces to host festivals (such as the fishing ceremony and the Nguyen Tieu festival) in which everyone is welcome to participate, including tourists, on occasion throughout the year. produces varying ambiances according to the season.

Investment capital is used for green core residential areas, adding public amenities to promote the image of the investment funding organization. A more developed living environment, along with the influence of landmarks, will bring an influx of tourists, creating a need to renovate housing to match the trend of welcoming tourism. Investors will reap profits from tourism services such as cyclos, shop houses, and high-class homestays.
