SITE ANALYSIS + USER SCENARIO

Two units are located at 860 Rhode Island St. These two units are House and Office for one client. The buildings have very limited space within the area, the units are sharing the back yard and the design of the units is very close but different. We use the three small box buildings that size 24X12X10 ( W x L x H)

Minimalism is how I imagine the ideal home. Leaving a bustling life behind, there is constant activity outside and much occurs. I, therefore, desired that “MY” place, “MY” home, was as straightforward and inviting as it is. I want to make the house comfy.

Therefore, I focused on the ivory hue and gave a few paint colors to draw attention while keeping my choices to the color of the house. However, I chose to design the office building with a straightforward yet undeniably chic and stylish appearance. So that when the client arrived, they could trust them more and assign the job to the business.

Floor Plan of Floor 2

Stair (House)

Impressed by the roots of the trees, I designed them. From the first floor to the second floor, the center of the stairs acts as a wall and divides space. So that it’s connected but at the same time there disconnected.

Dining Table (House)

“Don’t think the wall is just a wall it can be anything we imagine”. it was my philosophy for my dining table. I use part of the wall as my dining table. It’s a 45-degree rotated table. It extends interior with the exterior for a big party, so the exterior and interior can exit together.

Office

Bathroom (Office)

It’s a bathroom made up of only the essentials. Eliminate the most unnecessary things, make it simple, and point on one wall and floor with the panel of wood veneer.

Note

The height is 8’-8”and length is 12’-0”. There was just one bed in the bedroom. The reason is that the bedroom is my private space and only to concentrate on my rest in private space.

This room is made of painted concrete walls. Because of the sound, it makes the bed frame a chestnut wood and covers one wall with part of the bed frame because the tree absorbs the sound. On the other side of the wall, a glass door was made for the balcony.

Note

The height is 8’-8”and length is 12’-0”. The dress room completes my own individuality and style. Used limited materials so that it looks consistent. Also dark wood tone and hidden light make clothes stand out a little bit more. An L-shaped open closet was used to make wide use of space and visually make space wider.
