Sukari solar power plant commissioning

The project development and construction of the solar project and paste fill plant have both remained largely on track, still scheduled for commissioning in Q3/Q4 2022. Construction contracts for the 36MW solar farm and 7.5MW batteryenergy storage system were awarded to juwi AG and Giza Systems.

Capital structure review

Total capex in Q2 was $67.3mn (H1: $138.7mn), which is a 62% year-onyear increase. Significant investment was made in key capital projects during the quarter.

Underground expansion study

The underground expansion study is planned to be finalised in the third quarter. Underground ore was made up of 142kt of ore mined from stopes, at an average grade of 5.61g/t Au, and 89kt of ore mined from development, at an average grade of 3.36g/t Au.

The second quarter of 2022 was the first full quarter of underground owner operations at Sukari, following the transition from contractor operations during Q1. The current quarter is seeing a spike in activity across the portfolio.

Doropo Project (Côte d’Ivoire) prefeasibility study

Drilling has been completed and focused on converting a significant proportion of the Inferred Resource to the Indicated Resource category, as well as on exploring newly identified areas of mineralisation, which have the potential to deliver further resource growth.silint?

Sukari Resource & Reserve update

An exploration programme has identified multiple shallow, open-pit gold satellite targets within the mining concession that have the potential to supplement the Sukari mill feed, in the short- to mediumterm, improving operational flexibility.
