The ministry of the satisfied soul Pastor Ramiro Monterroso

Third Service

Guatemala, March 22, Year of Abundance

We know that during our pastoral journey, we pass through difficult situations because our soul and emotions make that journey more difficult than others, all thought we have the process of ministration to clean and to calm down our soul. According to Lk 12:19-20 there was man’s soul that was following material things, but the most important fact is that those things can affect the way that we react and the way the soul can feel (Ps 24:3-4). Rom 15:16 says that we have to minister as a priest, but let’s notice the next verse “And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the LORD.” Je 31:14 but the Reina Valera version says that God satiate the soul of the priests with abundance. Now the question is: how is the priest’s soul satisfied? the good thing is that this year the soul of the priest is going to be satiated with abundance of God. We can see that in 1 Samuel 2:35 LBA that God loves the priest who walks according to what is in His soul and heart, and we have to walk and react according to Him. So we can learn that God has a soul, and there are things the He likes or dislike. “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38 Characteristics of the Soul of God 1.- Our soul has to hate the religiosity (Is 1:14 BTX), we can’t be guided by material things, such as a beautiful garment or a popular melody, etc., we have to see and look closely if we are following God’s soil. 2.- We can’t omit the weightier matters of the law: the judgment, mercy and faith (Mt 23:23 LBA), as ministers we have to choose the faithful people, because sometimes we stay with the ones who have the abilities, but it’s easier to make the unable-able than the unfaithful- faithful. We can name the bad instead of good and good instead of bad, when you decide with your emotions, you might not be doing what God wants. That’s why the pastor separates the sheep between the goats. 3.- Is 42:1 LBA shows us one example, and it’s that God’s soul is pleased in whom He chooses. Now what is the profile that God uses to select between the other, let’s read Ps 4:3 RV60 here we can see that He chooses the humble person. 4.- 2 Ti 3:12 “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” But if we read some previous verses, 1 Ti 3:1-3 there is a difficult time because the man are lovers of their own selves, so the Christians or the ones who live godly in Jesus Christ will suffer the persecution. Those lovers are everywhere, for example with the selfy photos, they like to be seemed by others and they reflect a selfish attitude. These characteristics are the ones that make this last time difficult “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.” 2Timothy 3:1-4 God will choose the godly one; this is the time to surrender our soul to God’s soul. Let’s rise up our hands and ask for the wisdom to do the best of us while we work in God’s will. Let’s give everything to God so He can work in us, and fill our soul of His Spirit, in particular with the His people, so they can see God reflected in us.
