2 Cor. 6:14-16 when it is mention to be unequally yoked together we think immediately of a couple relationship or marriage but this passage goes beyond that. The word unequally yoked together come from the word G2086 of G2087 and G2218; to yoke up differently, that is, (figuratively) to associate discordantly: unequally yoked together with. We can say that we can make a strong bond with an unbeliever and not necessary talking about a couple or marriage. John 17:15-16 we are in the world until the Lord allows it and that means that we have relation with people that are unbelievers, the Lord is praying for His people to be protected from evil because He knows that we are at risk. Some misunderstand this and they divert, we have to give testimony, be the light to the unbelievers. James 4:4-5 this is the balance, we are not taken out from Earth because we have many things to do but we do not have to be friends of the world. The price for us has been paid and it was high, that´s why He envies strongly. There are six different levels of relation between a believer and an unbeliever: 1. Unequally yoked
4. Concord
2. Fellowship
5. Part
3. Communion
6. Agreement
This levels we cannot have it with and unbeliever and we find them in (2 Cor 6:14-16 KJV) 1.
Unequally yoked (2 Cor. 6:14) Believer and Unbeliever: G1096 ginomai A prolonged and middle form of a primary verb; to cause to be (“ ” -erate), that is, (reflexively) to become (come into being), used with great latitude (literally, figuratively, intensively, etc.): - arise be assembled, be (come, -fall, -have self), be brought (to pass), (be) come (to pass), continue, be divided, be done, draw, be ended, fall, be finished, follow, be found, be fulfilled, + God forbid, grow, happen, have, be kept, be made, be married, be ordained to be, partake, pass, be performed, be published, require, seem, be showed, X soon as it was, sound, be taken, be turned, use, wax, will, would, be wrought. This is something that is being constructed, it doesn´t happen quickly. Jer15:19 we cannot be like the unbelievers that, is going backwards. A lot of times we do not realize when this happens.

Fellowship (2 Cor. 6:14) righteousness with unrighteousness: G3352 from G3348; participation, that is, intercourse: - fellowship. It is talking about interact with unbelievers but not to be like them. 1 Cor. 10:21 when we didn´t know the Lord we were like Mephibosheth but the King called us to His table. good for us, we don´t have to participate in the Lord´s table and the demons table, we must not have a double life, double spirit. 3.
Communion (2 Co. 6:14) G2839; a sharer, that is, associate: - companion, X fellowship, partaker, partner. This means to be common, to be a confidant, be more than a partner. When we share with everybody, we get to know the people. The light with the darkness cannot have fellowship. We cannot take the custom of the unbelievers and the ones that are in the darkness.

Concord (2 Co. 6:15) sis from G4856; accordance: - concord. The Lord with the enemy do not have harmony, they do not work together. In the same way, the children of God cannot work with the children of the enemy. Acts 5:9 this is an example when two believers agree to do wrong. Mt. 18:19 this is an example when two believers agree to do well. For example, when we intercede we agree to pray and ask according to the Lord´s will.

Part (2 Co. 6:15) believeth and infidel: G3310 meris feminine of G3313; a portion, that is, province, share or (abstractly) participation: - part (X -akers). This talks about a distribution, wanting to be part of what is being distributed. Luke 10:42 this is a positive example where Mary listened and Martha served but there must be a balance. Acts 8:21 we cannot take part with the ones that are not upright before the Lord.

Agreement (2 Co. 6:16) the temple of God with idols: G4783 sugkatathesis from G4784; a deposition (of sentiment) in company with, that is, (figuratively) accord with: agreement. Luke 23:50-51 He didn´t agree with them.
