Rev 3:20-22 KJ2000 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and 21 opens the door, I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me. To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with 22 my Father in his throne. He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches. Since long time ago, we have heard about the previous verses, where the Lord is knocking at the door of the heart and that He wanted to get in and dwell in the hearts of those unconverted, that were actually an evangelistic date; however if we take a close look we will see that there is another panorama, what he Lord is actually doing is a calling to the church that has deviate, the Lord is knocking the door but is not enough that we heard that someone is knocking but it is necessary to open the door, but then this means that is not calling on to the unconverted but He is also calling those who had gone away from the Lord. Another point is that in the moment when we open the door, He first eats with us and later we eat with Him, these are two different things that we need to assimilate, but what we are going to focus here is specifically is when He eats with us, this the word “will eat”. According to the Strong Dictionary that word comes from the original Greek “G1172” deipneo and has several meanings:   

Take the principal meal of the day It is derivate from Deipnon (G1173) which is also translated as BANQUETE or feast. It is used in reference to a social supper, the Holy Supper or the Supper of the Weddings of the Lamb

When we talk about the Holy Supper, we know that this is a semblance of the preparation that we must have before take part of the Weddings of the Lord. Luk 14:12-14 KJ2000 Then said he also to him that bade him, When you give a dinner or a supper, call not your friends, nor your brethren, neither your kinsmen, nor your rich neighbors; 13 lest they also bid you again, and a recompense be made you. But when you give a feast, call 14 the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: And you shall be blessed; for they cannot recompense you: for you shall be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. What God is doing with the host of the supper is giving him an advice for the moment when he offers the supper or the dinner, however; this has an spiritual meaning, considering that the Lord do not say anything unless He does it too, in such way that Jesus was really revealing a mystery of what will be of the Weddings of the Lamb, those who He calls to His table. Let us focus in the third group The lame Secular meaning A person who walks bow down more to one side than the other, it could be for the missing of one leg a foot or the lost of the normal use of any of these members. If we consider this, we could say that this is a person who cannot walk well, who does not have balance, and in the spiritual is exactly the same, a person who is constantly tripping and falling in the same sin and that is why is constantly going to ministration for the same problem. People who don’t have a right walking, starts to feel unworthy to the feast to which we are all called; of course if we are humble we know that we all sin and although it might not being the same sin that we are going through, in any moment we fail the Lord, but still the Lord calls to His table and He does discriminate anyone, and there is where we have a new opportunity to rise us up of that trip. Lev 21:17-18 KJ2000 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of your descendants in their 18 generations that has any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he is that has a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or lame, or he that has a marred face, or any limb too long, These are the instructions for the priest, considering that the spiritual lame does not allow anyone eject priesthood; let us remember that we were called to be kings and priests, but a lame person cannot be a priest. Deu 15:21-23 KJ2000 And if there be any blemish in it, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any ill 22 blemish, you shall not sacrifice it unto the LORD your God. You shall eat it within your gates: 23 the unclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the gazelle, and as the hart. Only you shall not eat the blood thereof; you shall pour it upon the ground as water. Let us notice what the spiritual lame represents, because not only makes that anyone trip up, but also voids him to take a pleasing offering before the Lord. 2Sa 4:4 KJ2000 And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame in his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth. One of the toughest things for a person, could be the fact of after had had something now is being private from it, for instance, a person who loses the sight must feel frustrated because after having a normal life where he enjoyed a totally healthy sight he suddenly loses the sight, after having around him a world filled with colors now soon he finds himself in darkness, now let us take the example of the previous verse; that young who use to walk well when he was a kid but because of unfortunate circumstances he was left lame and dependent from another person.

How many things could there be that are incapacitate the spiritual walk of a person and that is turning the dependent from another person? However, for this kind of people is that God has prepared His supper. Act 3:1-2 KJ2000 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; This is another kind of lame, Mephiboshet was lame because of an accident, but in the previous case this was a birth illness; this must make us remember that David said he was brought in iniquity and in sin his mother conceived him (Psa 51:5) which marked his life and made him trip until he sinned with Bershebå, because he not only committed adultery but he sent to kill Urias who was Bersheba´s husband. But David did not sinned from one day to another because when he sinned with Bersheba he was about 50 years old, he was a man who kill philistines, had defended the flock of his father and kill bears and lions with his bare hand; but when David was born something had happened that marked for life to be slave of sexual sin. Act 14:8-10 KJ2000 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple 9 from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who 10 steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on your feet. And he leaped and walked. This is another case, it was not another person´s problems as it happened with Mephiboshe; here we could say that it was an ancestral influence. We do not know what happens in the time when the mother carries her baby in her womb which is clearly influenced during those nine months and that will definitely affect during the whole life of that baby. It is interestingly when a lame is healed, he has the privilege of get into the Holiest Pace as it happened with this man referred in the previous verses; because once he was healed, he could get in there. Isa 35:5-6 KJ2000 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall 6 be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break forth, and streams in the desert. This is a prophesy that God left established, it is a reality that will be fulfilled in the literal but also in the spiritual matter, in such way that those that have being spiritual laming will be healed at approaching at the table of the Lord. Let us approach to the table of the Lord and take advantage of His promises knowing that if God left them written in the Bible is because He wants us to have hope in Jesus because His blood is still powerful as yesterday, today and forever.
