The Thing That Will Happen Soon! Pastor Hilmar Ochoa Guatemala, April 27th Year of Abundance

Revelation 1:1 (LBLA) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, that God gave to His servants about the things that will happen soon; He make them known to John through His angel. This verse shows that the Revelation of Jesus Christ has its purposes, and one of these is to show to His servants the things that will happen soon, both individually and collectively. This is also confirmed in the last chapter of this book. Revelation 22:6 (LBLA) Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. One of the things that will happen soon is the coming of the Lord, which is prophesied three times in the last chapter of the Book of Revelation. Revelation 22:7 (LBLA) “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:12 (RV 1960) “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Revelation 22:20 (LBLA) He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Analyzing other Bible versions, we see that these things are not only going to happen within a short period of time, but they could happen from one moment to another. In Revelation 2:7, the word translated as “quickly” is tajú (G5035) which means suddenly or by surprise. The coming of the Lord will also happen in this manner, unexpectedly, as we see in the next verse: Malachi 3:1 (LBLA) “Behold, I send My messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the Lord of hosts. The Bible describes many things that will come suddenly to this world, as we see in the next verses: Matthew 24:27 (BAF) For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Luke 21:34-36 (LBLA) “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. (35) For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. (36) Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Mark 13:35 (LBLA) Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming – in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning – I Thessalonians 5:2-3 (LBLA) For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. (3) For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. Galatians 1:6 (BC4) I marvel how suddenly you are turning away from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel. Proverbs 29:1 (LBLA) He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. All these verses describe situations that will come suddenly upon those who do not know the Lord, nevertheless for us as His children, wonderful things are coming. Acts 2:2 (LBLA) And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. When people receive the touch of the Holy Spirit but His baptism doesn´t happen immediately, many may be disappointed. Therefore it is necessary to remember that the Lord´s disciples were told to gather in Jerusalem and wait for the promise of the Father; they were not told how long should they wait, but after some days, suddenly the Spirit came and baptized all of them. We must understand that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, not always occurs in the same manner, for when Peter the apostle went into Cornelius´ house, the Spirit baptized his family even before the teaching was over. Acts 16:26 (LBLA) Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone´s chains were loosed. When Paul and Silas were taken as prisoners, they were singing hymns to God, and suddenly they received their freedom. If we are actually fighting against some kind of captivity, even against evil spirits, we must not grow weary in searching our freedom, because from one moment to another God can send a spiritual earthquake that will set us free. Acts 12:7 (PAF) Now behold, suddenly an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. The angelic visitation could suddenly come to our lives, not because we deserve it, but because of God´s mercy; this happened to Cornelius when he was visited by an angel before receiving the Lord. Luke 8:47 (LBP) Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed suddenly. After twelve years of being sick, this woman received her healing suddenly, but this miracle required her faith. Mark 5:29 (BDN) Suddenly the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. Perhaps some of us are sick from long time ago, and we have prayed to the Lord about it, but we must understand that He has determined a specific time to heal us. Acts 9:3 (LBLA) As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Saul of Tarsus had a planned schedule to persecute the Church, but suddenly the Lord Jesus appeared to him; that day Paul achieved eternal salvation. This means that even when we have plans to commit sin, in the moment when the Savior manifests His life to us, He is able to transform us into what He desires. Through the revelation of the Lord we can understand that He can give us those things that we have been praying for, i.e., the baptism of the Holy Spirit, freedom, angelic visitation, healing and salvation.
