Part 1 Impact of Art

Art has become a fundamental, rather than ornamental, element of interior design. Interior designers are prioritizing the placement of art in client workspaces to promote well-being and innovation.

One study by Exeter University’s School of Psychology showed that people working in “enriched” workspaces (decorated with art and plants) were 17% more productive than those in lean workspaces (bare and functional).

Another collaborative study between the Business Committee for the Arts and the International Association for Professional Art Advisors found that art in the workplace:

● Reduces stress

● Increases creativity

● Encourages expression of opinions
