About Chez Angela

The contestants were presented with a basket of selected ingredients from Sobeys West End 1 hour before the cook off! They were to use all of these ingredients to create their unique dish that followed the selected theme. Contestants had the creative freedom to add any spices or additional ingredients as needed to complete their dish. They were given a 45 minute time limit.

Chez Angela Café has been a downtown staple that boasts fresh-baked goods made by hand with locally-sourced ingredients. Artisan breads, cheesecakes, delicious treats, cookies, cakes and more.

About Shady Lane Shady Lane Tea Room is located 5 minutes east on Brandon on the Transcanada highway. A popular wedding destination that offers homestyle cooking, catering and lunch features.

Final dishes were presented to our Judge – Ruth McLean and were graded on the use of ingredients, taste, presentation and finally creativity.
