425 Park Avenue New York, USA

Deserving of its presence among the architectural icons of New York’s Plaza District, Lord Norman Foster’s project, which was always designed to set the ultimate benchmark for a working environment, is certainly living up to expectations. While meeting the officially imposed requirement to retain 25% of the metal infrastructure of the old building, the team still managed to remove the equivalent in weight of three Eiffel Towers. The result is the ability to create highceilinged, pillar-free collaborative working spaces. The low-VOC in- terior fittings are complemented by an on-demand ventilation system that also regulates CO2 levels.

From concrete to steel and glass

NO LESS THAN 89% of the materials used in the old tower were recovered for recycling
